Although the appeal of Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle were the characters for many people, there are still players who may have gotten stuck along the way, as they started off on a low note. Some people are going to want to have some beginner tips to start them on the right path for the game.

7 Choose A Guest Card That Meshes

Dokkan Battle - Three People together

Essentially, a Guest Card is chosen before a player goes on a quest, and will give them a Leader Skill that will benefit the team. A player can have two leader skills in their team at a time (one from their team, and one from the Guest Card).

It is a good idea to choose a Guest Card that will be able to benefit the team as a whole. For example, a team all about a glass cannon build - that is to say, a low HP and high damage team - will benefit greatly from a Guest Card that increases the amount of Attack the whole team has.

6 Only Summon "Must Have" Units

There are many units that a player can summon in Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle. A player can end up getting lost along the way while they are summoning, blow all of their rare summoning material on a unit that is garbage, and end up being set back because now they have no resources and a bad unit.

It is a good idea for a player to read up online about what characters are good or not before pulling for them. It may end up saving them a bunch of resources in the long run.

5 Play The Story Mode

The story mode is going to be the player's best friend when it comes to acquiring all sorts of materials. The best thing a player can do to get summoning materials early on is to play through the entire story mode.

By playing through the story mode for the first time, they will be able to acquire a large number of materials to use within gameplay. This is a great investment for players who are free to play and can only get materials via what the game gives out.

4 Play Through Events

Dokkan Battle - Heroes and Villains together

There will be multiple events that run during Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle's lifetime. A player can always expect an event to be right around the corner to replenish their supplies; whether those supplies be summoning materials or other in-game currencies.

A player should ensure that they always at least try to complete these events, which are split into four types. These categories are Story Events, Growth Events, Challenge Events, and Z-Battles. All four of them are worth playing, and will always give the player new material to work with.

3 Aim For Stars In Hidden Potential

Essentially, Hidden Potential is what players will use to increase the strength of their characters throughout the gameplay. In short, Hidden Potential can only be activated once a week, as players need to use Potential (which is only given in weekly events), and once a certain area on a grid is activated, the character will get stronger.

A player should aim for the stars in a Hidden Potential grid, as they will give huge bonuses towards the player's character, thus making them far stronger. A player should try to aim their path towards stars, to ensure maximum potential is gotten out of each unit.

2 Grind Through Stage 4's Area 11

Players have figured out that the fastest way to level up their characters is to repeatedly play through one particular level within story mode. This section is the fourth stage in Area 11.

This is because this stage is by far the shortest one in the area, while also giving the player large amounts of experience for their characters. It is a great place to grind through to level up some characters until a player can get to later levels that can give more experience.

1 Re-Roll At The Beginning

Dokkan Battle - Two People fighting

One of the best things for a player to do when they are just starting out in the game is to re-roll their account until they can start off with somebody that is greatly beneficial for them.

When a player gets their first free summons, they can blow through all of them and aim for someone good. If nothing good comes out of this, a player can then delete the app, restart again, and go through it again; the player will then continue this until they land on somebody that can immediately help them in the early game.
