Bandai Namco's Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is still thriving to this day, even almost five years after its original release. The game has seen a tremendous amount of post-launch support over the years, adding plenty of new characters as DLC to the game, with the many additions being from the last animated adaptation, Dragon Ball Super. The latest Legendary Pack DLC featured major characters from the show, including the Universe 6 Saiyans Kale and Caulifla, or the show's final opponent in the Tournament of Power, Jiren at his Full Power.

With Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 having been supported for the last half-decade, the DLC doesn't seem to be stopping for the moment, with the next one to be scheduled for later this summer. The next characters were actually decided about a year ago through an in-game poll known as the Conton City Vote, which will be adding some new playable characters to the game, alongside Trunks. Of the choices players could have voted for, this includes Ultra Instinct -Sign- Goku, Dyspo and Bergamo from Dragon Ball Super's Universal Survival Arc, Android 18 in her pink tracksuit from the same arc, and Dragon Ball GT Vegeta.

A recent Xenoverse 2 trailer from Bandai Namco reveals that one character of the five that have won this poll is none other than Ultra Instinct -Sign- Goku, complete with a brand-new transformation scene. While Goku in his completed state of Ultra Instinct was added back in 2018 with the Extra Pack 2 expansion, this form of Goku aims to be more based on his incomplete transformation showcased during the Tournament of Power.

The trailer then shows off how this version of Ultra Instinct plays in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, with a combo string and moves based on certain episodes of Dragon Ball Super. Some of these super moves includes a discharged aura attack, along with a combo based on when he first unlocked Ultra Instinct. The last super move shown off that Goku can use is a combo string, before firing an enormous Kamehameha wave.

This Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 free DLC will be coming later this year, with no firm release window aside from Summer 2022. This was only the first of the DLC to be revealed, with more content that will be arriving in this update, including costumes and CC Mascots as well. These all have their own separate broadcast times as well, which can be viewed in-game at the Conton City TV hub.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
