Bandai Namco reveals a roadmap for the future seasons of its asymmetrical multiplayer game, Dragon Ball: The Breakers. This game is the franchise's take on the asymmetrical multiplayer genre, similar to games such as Friday the 13th, Evolve, and Dead by Daylight. This is also one of the more unique Dragon Ball games, as it takes the franchise away from the fighting game or RPG genres, putting one player in the role of an iconic villain known as a Raider, with others as the less-than-powerful ordinary civilians.

The game had launched earlier this October, with three playable Raiders in The Breakers, those being the iconic DBZ-era villains Frieza, Cell, and Majin Buu. Aside from customizable characters whom are the survivors, there are three other preset unlockable survivors; Bulma, Oolong, and the Farmer with a shotgun. Considering that the game was designed with a multiplayer shelf-life in mind, there are already several seasons of content that will be released in the future. Bandai Namco revealed a rough roadmap of this future content, including what to expect in these seasons.

The roadmap for Dragon Ball: The Breakers shows that its second season is going to contain one Raider, which can be obtained by redeeming one TP Token. Moreover, three Survivor Skins will be added in this season as well, with two of these skins going to be redeemable by TP tokens and one being unlocked by a Dragon Tier. An additional map will also be added in Season 2 along with additional Transphere characters and customization items.

The launch trailer for Dragon Ball: The Breakers had already teased which villain will be added, that being the Great Ape version of Vegeta from the Saiyan Saga. The third season will contain roughly the same amount of content as Season 2, with one Raider, three survivor skins, one map, and the aforementioned customization items and transpheres. There are no release windows for these upcoming seasons, with a fourth season also being teased for the future as well.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers had launched to mixed reception from both critics and fans, with many liking the concept of overpowering the survivors as one of Dragon Ball's iconic villains. The downsides, however, came with the lack of content at release along with technical issues such as the inconsistent matchmaking, disorienting camera, and clunky gameplay. With this roadmap in place, hopefully Dragon Ball: The Breakers can be improved in a way where it reaches its maximum potential and gives fans a better experience than what is currently in place.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers is available for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
