Bandai Namco confirms one of Dragon Ball's most iconic villains, Majin Buu, and one of its most iconic one-note characters, The Farmer with a shotgun, will be playable characters in the upcoming Dragon Ball: The Breakers. This is the franchise's take on the asymmetrical multiplayer genre, popularized by games like Friday the 13th, Evolve, and Dead by Daylight. This is carried over by having one player embodying the role of one of Dragon Ball's iconic villains, with another group being a set of ordinary civilians.

The game already revealed two playable villains beforehand, originating from the DBZ-era of the franchise. These include the big bads of the Namek and Android Cell Sagas, Freiza and Cell respectively, this one player taking on the role of the Raider. The other group is known as the Survivor in Dragon Ball: The Breakers, where players can choose between playing as a custom character or other similarly weaker citizens such as Bulma or Oolong. Before the game's launch in October, Bandai Namco confirms one new Raider and Survivor will be in the game, these being notable characters in their own right.

The trailer confirms that Majin Buu, the pink demon of death from the final saga of the original Dragon Ball manga, will be a Raider. Much like his appearance in the original, he can fire off ki blasts, summon an explosive wave of energy around himself, or trap other Survivors with his own body. Whenever he kills a civilian or another player, he'll turn them into candy and eat them. With enough kills, he can power up into his Super Buu form, where he can even absorb other survivors into himself.

The Survivor players however are given a chance to fight back, where they can adventure within Buu's innards. This also gives them a chance to detach the good Buu from inside of Super Buu, which will trigger the Raider's transformation into Kid Buu. Dragon Ball: The Breakers also shows off the Farmer as a playable character, where he can use his hoe to dig up items or shoot his enemies with his famous shotgun.

Many fans openly embraced the news of this playable survivor, some even declaring him to be the best addition to this game. The Farmer already had a bit of notoriety in the Dragon Ball fandom, being known for his weapon of choice and power level, which is frequently used as a measuring stick when comparing power levels. Hopefully, players can see more Dragon Ball villains and civilians being revealed before or after the game's launch next month.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers will launch on October 14 for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
