In the early years of Dragon Ball, tournaments were a big part of the franchise. Although, once the Z Warriors became more akin to superheroes than martial artists, they were all too strong for regular competitions. Dragon Ball Super, however, found a way to bring them back by pitting the heroes against the best warriors from other universes. The main event was the Tournament of Power, where the existence of eight universes was at stake.

Universe 7 housed the main characters, including fan-favorite Vegeta. The Saiyan Prince was among the most powerful members of his team, and he showed as such during the competition by eliminating 14 opponents. Here are those that tasted defeat at the hands of the iconic anti-hero.

7 Hop – Sent Through The Floor Of The Arena

Early into the tournament, Universe 9 was decimated by Vegeta and Goku. The former's first victim was the feline-like warrior known as Hop. At first, she was faring well against the Saiyan until she mistakenly scratched her teammate instead of Vegeta. The Saiyan Prince took advantage of the miscommunication to get the upper hand on the fighter.

Vegeta used his Amazing Impact combination on her, which included a punch to the face, two boots into the spine, then a double axe handle to smash her through the floor of the arena. As Hyssop had frozen one of his hands at the time, Vegeta's strikes had a little extra power that Hop likely didn't appreciate.

6 Hyssop And Oregano – Blasted Away By A Close-Range Wave Of Energy

The unique team of Hyssop and Oregano were Vegeta's next Universe 9 targets. Hyssop had an array of ice powers, whereas Oregano could shoot webbing. Ultimately, none of their powers mattered much once the anti-hero turned into a Super Saiyan.

Vegeta charged at Hyssop with a flurry of lightning-fast punches before landing a big one in the stomach. With his hand still in the mid-section of his opponent, Vegeta fired a huge energy wave. The blast knocked both Hyssop and Oregano straight out of the arena.

5 Lavender, Basil, And Bergamo – No Match For A Final Flash And Kamehameha Combination

The strongest members of Universe 9's team were certainly Lavender, Basil, and Bergamo, aka the Trio of Danger. They proved their capabilities before the Tournament of Power even started when they created problems for Universe 7 in the Zeno Expo. However, they didn't last too long in the main competition.

Their downfall began when they tried to blast Vegeta and Goku away with their signature Triangle Danger Beam. The mighty Saiyans overpowered the trio's attack with a Final Flash and Kamehameha combination that sent the humanoid wolf creatures flying off the stage.

4 Prum And Dr. Rota – One Galick Gun Is All It Took

For a small period in the tournament, Universe 2's Prum looked like a formidable warrior. Combining with his teammate Hermila, he would reflect KI blasts that were difficult to dodge. Although once Hermila was no more, Prum proved to be a useless fighter.

Prum was even stopped in his tracks by the small Dr. Rota, who grabbed the larger combatant and tried to explain his special talents. Vegeta quickly got tired of the two's interaction and unleashed a devastating Galick Gun to eliminate them both. It was another moment that proved the Saiyan Prince's signature beam is one of the best.

3 Auta Magetta – Taken Down By Insults And A Kick

Because of his large metal frame, Auto Magetta is extremely durable and can withstand most attacks. He's also able to dish out punishment as he's strong and surprisingly quick for an individual of his size. However, to eliminate him from the Battle Royale, Vegeta takes advantage of the warrior's one weakness: his sensitivity.

The metal man loses all will to fight if he's insulted, so he spends most of his time in the tournament with his ears covered. Once Vegeta fixes the fighter's hearing, though, he hurls abuse at his opposition. After being slighted, Auto Magetta curls into a ball, and the Saiyan kicks him off the edge of the arena.

2 Agnilasa (Koitsukai, Pancea, Borareta, Paparoni) – Couldn't Withstand Universe 7's Best Attacks

Late into the tournament, the remaining members of Universe 3 made one last attempt to gain an advantage over their opponents by combining to become Agnilasa. The newly formed monster turned out to more than the sum of its parts as it started to beat down Universe 7.

Agnilasa then tried to win the whole thing by destroying the arena with a giant energy ball and using its ability to fly to remain safe. Vegeta, Goku, Gohan, and Frieza held the attack back using their signature beams. Android 17 then damaged the fighter's power core which weakened it enough for Universe 7 to push the ball back to Agnilasa. Even the big Android couldn't withstand the blast and was eliminated as a result.

1 Top – Defeated By The Returning Final Explosion Attack

At the start of the Tournament of Power, Top, aka Toppo, was one of the most powerful fighters the protagonists had ever faced. Yet, the warrior got even more mighty when he was in his destroyer state, which is among the strongest transformations in the series.

Despite Top's overwhelming brawn, Vegeta was able to keep up with his opponent using his Evolved Super Saiyan Blue form. However, eliminating the Universe 11 fighter was still troublesome for the Saiyan. So, Vegeta resorted to using his Final Explosion attack, which he used many years prior against Majin Buu. On this occasion, though, the resulting explosion didn't kill the Saiyan. Instead, the technique blasted Top out of the tournament.
