Dragon Ball FighterZ's beta will start on January 14 and run until January 16 across PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with those that pre-ordered the upcoming fighting game able to start a day early, on January 13. Now Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced the 11 characters that players will be able to play as in the Dragon Ball FighterZ beta next week.

Here is the full list of fighters for the Dragon Ball FighterZ beta when it kicks off next week:

  • Adult Gohan
  • Android 18
  • Beerus
  • Cell
  • Frieza
  • Goku
  • Kid Buu
  • Krillin
  • Nappa
  • Piccolo
  • Vegeta

With 11 characters available in the beta, fans will be able to play as over half of the announced roster for Dragon Ball FighterZ. Some notable exclusions from the list include Goku Black, who was recently given an impressive character trailer that showed off his abilities, as well as Hit, the time-manipulating assassin.

It's hard not to notice that the beta roster is comprised entirely of characters that were introduced before the Dragon Ball Super TV series. In fact, most of the characters available are from the original iteration of the Dragon Ball Z manga and TV show, with the exception of the God of Destruction Beerus, who debuted in the film Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods back in 2013.

While some fans may have preferred to try out some of the newer characters introduced to the franchise's canon in Dragon Ball Super, the allure of playing as fan-favorite DBZ fighters will be hard to pass up. Goku, Piccolo, Vegeta, and more will all be playable in Dragon Ball FighterZ's beta from January 14 to January 16, which should give fans a better idea of whether or not the full game will be worth picking up when it releases at the end of the month.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will launch on January 26 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
