Legendary assassin Hit demonstrates why he's the most deadly man in Universe 6 in the latest character trailer from Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Accompanied by a smooth jazz soundtrack, which surprisingly suits him, the trailer sees Hit unleashing a beating on Super Saiyan Blue Goku. Like the other Dragon Ball FighterZ character trailers, it's relatively short. Luckily, time is something Hit has plenty of.

Hit is a purely melee character who is excellent at counters. He can use his signature ability, time-skip, to maneuver quickly around the screen or to strike opponents from afar before they even know what hit them. Hit's special attack has him manipulating time to unleash a staggering amount of punches quickly, before delivering a powerful, final blow. Hit plays exactly the way those who have seen the anime would expect, which should please fans.

Hit, Beerus, and Goku Black are the most recent characters to be announced for Dragon Ball FighterZ. Since their big reveal a while back, there hasn't been much on these fighters until earlier this week, when Bandai Namco kicked things off with a character trailer for Goku Black. At the pace they are coming now, fans should expect to see a trailer for Beerus very soon.

The beta for Dragon Ball FighterZ begins on January 14 and will run until January 16 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Those that pre-ordered the game will be able to dive in a day early, on January 13.

There will be 11 characters in the beta and Bandai Namco has released the full list of fighters that players will be able to choose from. Unfortunately, Goku Black and Hit didn't make the cut, which could mean they are still getting their kinks worked out before the game releases at the end of this month.

Dragon Ball FighterZ releases January 26 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
