Dragon Ball FighterZ first launched back in 2018. Since the game released, 20 characters have been added through a number of seasons. This has helped the game build an impressive and diverse cast, with characters spanning from the entire history of Dragon Ball.

The latest character to be added to Dragon Ball FighterZ was Lab Coat Android 21. The fighter is an alternate version of the Android 21 character that debuted with the game and was featured in the Dragon Ball FighterZ story mode as an evil scientist. However, there has been controversy surrounding her release, to the point that the game's publisher is taking action.

Dragon Ball FighterZ publisher Bandai Namco has announced that it will be releasing a new balance update soon. According to the publisher, Lab Coat Android 21 will be the focus of the update, as she will be receiving some changes.

There was no word on when gamers can expect the update to be released. The balance update will likely drop sooner than later, as a number of major fighting game tournaments are scheduled to begin soon, particularly Combo Breaker and EVO. There was also no mention on what else can be expected from the Dragon Ball FighterZ update, as Bandai Namco did not state what other nerfs and buffs can be expected for the rest of the game's cast.

Lab Coat Android 21 was released for Dragon Ball FighterZ earlier this year, and has been a hot topic in the game's community since she dropped. Many consider her the best character in the fighter, with a good number of players feeling that she is overpowered. This is due to a number of tools that she has at her disposal, in particular a command grab that debuffs the damage of any character that she lands it on by 21%. This has led to many asking that the character to be banned from tournament play, with a few players threatening to leave the game over her.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will be featured at a number of upcoming major fighting game tournaments. This includes Combo Breaker 2022, which will be held in Schaumberg, Illinois. The tournament will begin on May 27th, and will run through the 29th. The game will also be in the spotlight at EVO 2022, the biggest fighting game event of the year. EVO 2022 will be held in Las Vegas from August 5th to the 7th. This will be the return to in person competition for both tournaments, as COVID protocols have become lax enough for events like these to be possible.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is available now on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch.
