Dragon Ball FighterZ is arguably the first major video game launch of 2018, with the game building a decent amount of hype in the months leading up to its release. To get fans even more excited about Dragon Ball FighterZ, Bandai Namco has released its opening cinematic, which shows off some of the game’s most notable characters on its roster of fighters.

Not unlike the TV show and manga it’s based on, the Dragon Ball FighterZ opening cinematic is action-packed, with some of the franchise’s most popular characters duking it out across a variety of familiar locations. No new characters are seen in the game’s opening cinematic, but it does reiterate recent confirmations like Dragon Ball Super characters Beerus, Hit, and Goku Black.

With the game so close to launch, fans shouldn’t expect too many more Dragon Ball FighterZ reveals between now and its release. After all, the developers would likely want to keep some things in Dragon Ball FighterZ a secret to surprise fans when they actually get their hands on the long-awaited fighting game.

Of course, some of those secrets may be revealed before the game’s actual launch. As it turns out, Dragon Ball FighterZ will have an open beta on January 14 and 15, with those that pre-order gaining early access to the beta on January 13. Unfortunately, we still don’t know exactly all the content fans will have access to in the open beta, but at least some of the popular fighters featured in the opening cinematic should be on deck.

While fans wait for more information on the open beta, they can check out Dragon Ball FighterZ‘s opening cinematic as well as the various character trailers that have released over the past few months. Hopefully that can pass the time until Bandai Namco is ready to reveal more about the upcoming game and its mid-January open beta period.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will launch on January 26 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
