The reveals for the highly anticipated fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ have been coming fast and furious over the past few months, as the game is quickly approaching its official launch date in January. Even though fans have known about a beta since this past October, Bandai Namco has finally revealed the official start time prior to the game's launch.

The official Twitter account for Bandai Namco finally revealed the long-awaited Dragon Ball FighterZ news to fans. Though the account held off on fully revealing what modes and features will be available during the open beta, fans have January 14 and 15 to go hands-on with the game. For those that pre-orders, they'll get one extra day when an early access period begins on January 13. Considering that the official launch is a week and a half later, it's likely that Bandai Namco is also going to use this beta as a stress test for the servers, so players shouldn't be too surprised by a few hiccups along the way as well.

The Twitter account also officially confirmed the additions of the three leaked Dragon Ball Super characters Beerus, Hit, and Goku Black. The trio were revealed a few days ago inside the pages of V-Jump magazine, which also provided a bit of added details for each. Goku Black gets help from his partner Zamasu, Beerus is able to send out his Spheres of Destruction adding a bit of strategy to matches, and Hit utilizes speed and time stopping techniques to throw his opponents off.

Beerus, Hit, and Goku Black join an ever-expanding roster of characters which is sure to make any Dragon Ball fan quite happy. Currently, the roster sits at 23 characters and while the developers at Arc System Works have previously stated that the launch roster won't be as massive as other Dragon Ball games, it's unknown if any more character reveals are coming. Alternatively, a season pass has previously been detailed which adds eight new characters to the game over time, while pre-orders instantly unlock Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta as well.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is set to arrive on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on January 26, 2018.
