Dragon Ball FighterZ might be coming up to its third anniversary but developer Arc System Works is still introducing new fighters. With the fighting game developer confirming that Master Roshi would be joining the roster back in August, it is finally ready to show off his power.

With Master Roshi releasing on September 16 for owners of FighterZ Pass 3, Arc System Works and publisher Bandai Namco has uploaded a trailer to demonstrate Kame House's geriatric super power. Within the launch trailer, players get a good look at what Master Roshi will be bringing to the battles of earthlings, gods, saiyans, and aliens from across the universes.

Despite his age, Master Roshi doesn't stray from the high octane action that has made Dragon Ball FighterZ a favorite with fighting game players. The main visual treat will be the sudden transformations of Master Roshi into his bulkier "Max Power" form which brings the heavy hits. Beyond that, the trailer displays a lot of the tricks and abilities Master Roshi has from the series to take down his opponent.

What is even more charming is that despite showing off the immense power behind the seemingly brittle frame, Master Roshi is still the goofball fans fell in love with in the original Dragon Ball. The Master to Goku and Krillin still ends his fights with the same wild giddiness the character is known for. Both Krillin and Goku acknowledge the treat it is to battle with the Master Roshi, something that fans can relate to for the heavily requested character.

Master Roshi releases as the third combatant for FighterZ Pass 3, meaning that there are still two spots remaining for the third season of characters. The two previous entrants where fan favorite Kefla from Dragon Ball Super and another Goku variant with Ultra Instinct Goku. With only two fighters remaining, fans are still attempting to figure out who is left from the massive Dragon Ball cast to join the fray. Based on the color scheme of the character vignettes, some predictions point to Pikkon joining Dragon Ball FighterZ as the forth character of this season.

Despite Dragon Ball FighterZ initially releasing in January of 2018, the anime fighter is still one of the most popular today with both players and viewers. It was alongside the Master Roshi gameplay reveal that Bandai Namco confirmed the next steps for the Dragon Ball FighterZ competitive scene including new tournaments and balances.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
