Just over a week remains before Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 3 begins. The new season promises a range of major changes to the fast-paced fighting game. As exciting as the changes might be, though, fans are just as excited for a new season of downloadable fighters. The Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 3 FighterZ Pass features five new characters, released one by one through 2020 and perhaps early 2021. Only two of the five fighters have been revealed so far, but Bandai Namco is at least ready to show off the next fighter in combat.

In its newest trailer for Dragon Ball FighterZ, Bandai Namco shows off combat between Super Saiyan Goku Blue and Kefla. Kefla will be Dragon Ball FighterZ's next DLC character, and she's scheduled to launch alongside the start of Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 3 on February 28.

The video is a full recording of a match where Kefla is simply the first character on their team. The match starts with Kefla against Super Saiyan Goku Blue, but it ends up featuring Kefla against both Frieza and Super Saiyan Vegeta as well. While Kefla isn't the only character used on her team, she is the one that ultimately eliminates all of her opponents.

While the match is competitive, it isn't a particularly high-level match. Dragon Ball FighterZ fans hoping to see a Kefla player a the highest levels of skill playing will have to wait a while yet. Some of her tricks are definitely on display, however. For example, Kefla can chain a level 1 super ability into a level 3.

Kefla is an exciting addition to the Dragon Ball FighterZ roster. Not only is she one of the rare women to be added to the roster (technically two women), but Kefla's also a Saiyan like Goku, Vegeta, and their families.

Kefla is just one of five DLC characters planned for release in Season 3 of Dragon Ball FighterZ. The DLC fighter to follow Kefla has already been announced, too. That character will be Ultra Instinct Goku, which is Goku's ultimate form. The remaining three characters are a matter of some speculation. The only rumors of substance worth considering are for the character Omega Shenron, who was part of the non-canon Dragon Ball GT show. GT characters are already in Dragon Ball FighterZ, so Omega Shenron is a distinct possibility.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
