With the first round of downloadable characters publicaly available for players, many have begun to wonder what's next for the massively popular fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ. Fans have been well aware that Bandai Namco planned on bringing at least eight characters into the game post-launch, though the company has been quiet on what fans could expect to see. After a recent leak from Japanese magazine V Jump, Bandai Namco has officially revealed the third downloadable character to join the ever-expanding roster: Fused Zamasu.

Fused Zamasu, an extremely powerful being that is a combination of Goku Black and Future Zamasu, is the newest villain to join the ranks of Dragon Ball FighterZ. To celebrate the reveal, Bandai Namco released a number of screenshots showing the character in action, many of which feature the bright colors and cinematic shots players have come to expect from the game. Details on Fused Zamasu remain scarce, though the leak did hint that the character has a few attacks that allow him to freely fly through the air. A release date wasn't given either, but fans were told that they should expect to see the villain on all platforms soon.

As longtime Dragon Ball fans already know, Fused Zamasu serves as a major antagonist in the TV series Dragon Ball Super. While the character is massively powerful on the TV show, able to fight Super Saiyan Blue Goku, Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta, and Trunks at the same time, many have begun to wonder if this character will change the current meta. His form in the show is one that is nearly immortal, though struggles to heal from damage and typically mutating into a purple substance. It's unclear if something similar will happen in game as this character takes damage during a match.

Fused Zamasu joins previously released DLC characters Broly and Bardock, with five more characters on the way. While Namco Bandai remains tight-lipped on the rest of the planned characters, datamined information from earlier this year is turning out to be fairly accurate as the three confirmed characters were on that list. If the rest of the details are correct, players will likely be seeing Vegito Blue, Cooler, Regular Goku, Regular Vegeta, and Ranger Android 17 as well. Interested players can pick up the FighterZ Pass, unlocking each one as they're released for $35 or individually for $5 a piece.
