Dragon Ball FighterZ received its first trailer for DBS Broly, and it does not disappoint. Fans will be delighted to know that Arc System Works continues to do Dragon Ball characters justice by making them feel as accurate and true to the source material as possible. DBS Broly looks just as ferocious and out of control as he is in the movie.

DBS Broly is the last character of the Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 2 DLC pass and one of the two most anticipated DLC characters announced for FighterZ. The other was Super Saiyan Blue (SSGSS) Gogeta, who released on September 26 to a warm reception from fans. These are two beloved characters who made their long-awaited canon debut with last year's release of Broly's titular Dragon Ball Super movie. Like Gogeta, Broly looks to have some of the best animations in the game, and a plethora of supers to show them off.

DBS Broly's teaser trailer dropped during the conclusion of the Madrid Saga, the penultimate stop for points on the Season 2 Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour event. From what the trailer presents, DBS Broly will have a play-style mirroring his fighting-style in the DBS: Broly movie. Broly's abilities will center around grappling and hard-hitting techniques. And just like Dragon Ball FighterZ's Freeza, DBS Broly will have an install super that will make him even stronger, transforming him into his Legendary Super Saiyan form if it connects with an opponent. Unlike Frieza, however, DBS Broly's transformation will be permanent.

Grapplers in Dragon Ball FighterZ tend to be powerful characters because they don't suffer the same slow play-style as grapplers from other games. They retain the speed they show off in the Dragon Ball anime, making it very easy for them to sneak in and confirm unblockable command grabs. Android 16, FighterZ original top-tier grappler, was so good in season 1 of the game that he found himself nerfed into the ground coming into season 2. However, the latest released DLC characters seem to be bringing back a lot of the first season's aspects, so DBS Broly could play like Android 16 upon release.

DBS Broly's trailer did not announce a release date. It did, however, inform viewers that he will be arriving soon. He'll likely release the day after the Tokyo Saga event of the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour, which takes place on November 30. The Tokyo Saga is the last event before the world tour finals, so Bandai Namco and Arc Systems Works will more than likely announce DBS Broly's release date there. Hopefully, fans won't have to wait much longer to repeated slam their opponents into the ground with this new character.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
