Another member of the strongest clan in space joins Dragon Ball FighterZ, as Cooler has officially been confirmed for the game's roster.

Bandai Namco introduced Cooler through a reveal trailer following a Dragon Ball FighterZ tournament at EVO 2018. The trailer relives moments from the first major saga in the Z series, the Saiyan Saga, and deals with the arrival of Vegeta and Nappa. The bulk of the video highlights the action be two upcoming characters, base form Goku and Vegeta, both of whom will be added on August 8.

The tail end of the trailer, however, is dedicated to some of the sweet action Cooler will be bringing to the brawl. The short time dedicated to the villain is packed with previews of his various attacks, and a look at his intro and victory pose, which has Cooler holding his defeated opponents in the air by their necks.

Those who only watched the main television series might not be too familiar with Cooler. He was the main antagonist of a few of the Dragon Ball Z films, and, as the dastardly Frieza's older brother, has caused a heck of a lot of trouble for Goku and the rest of the fighters. He is a great antagonist, and will be a perfect addition to the roster.

Exactly when he will be added wasn't made clear in the trailer, as no release date for Cooler was present, but more information on his release should be revealed in the coming weeks.

Bandai Namco has been steadily adding new fighters to the game, and has picked various characters through the Dragon Ball series. Two of the most recent to be included are fan-favorites Fused Zamasu and Vegito Blue, both of whom are extremely powerful characters. With them, players can relive moments from Dragon Ball Super's Future Trunks arc.

As for what else is coming to the game, Switch fans will soon able to get in on the action soon, as Dragon Ball FighterZ is scheduled to arrive on the system next month. The port was announced through a short trailer at E3 2018, so Switch owners have had to wait a while to get in on the action. Luckily, the wait is almost over.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and will release for Nintendo Switch on September 28.
