The long-awaited DBS Broly arrived in Dragon Ball FighterZ on December 5, and he brought with him several references to his movie. One of these references happens to be a new Dramatic Finish with Gogeta, and it's quickly established itself as one of the best in the game among fans.

Arc System Works made Dragon Ball FighterZ a success through good gameplay and faithful (or clever) source-material recreations. But it would seem the studio has truly outdone itself this time around.

Bandai Namco UK officially tweeted out the Finish for everyone to see. It plays out with Broly powering up into his Legendary Super Saiyan transformation and then clashing with Gogeta in typical, quick-paced, Dragon Ball Z-style fashion. While the two are going at it, Cheelai works on summoning Shenron and making her wish to save Broly (the same way she did in the movie). As Gogeta moves to finish Broly off, Cheelai successfully makes her wish at the last second, saving Broly from a Full Force Kamehameha. The Finish ends with Gogeta throwing away his excess energy with a smirk.

What's interesting about this Finish is that it pulls from a plethora of different moments in Gogeta and Broly's movie-battle and not just its climactic ending. Eagle-eyed fans will recognize that Broly rushes Gogeta the same way he did when Gogeta first powered up into Super Saiyan. The two's repeated clashing, and the high-speed battle that follows it also comes from their fight as Super Saiyans. Fans will even recognize the funny way Gogeta moves his hands before deflecting one of Broly's attacks. Then there are the moments where Gogeta moves in for the kill as a Super Saiyan Blue, launching Broly effortless through the air with the same well-placed punches he used throughout their movie-fight (such as the ones used when the two broke into another dimension).

With the information present at the time of this writing, this will be the final Dramatic Finish added into the game. There are rumors that Dragon Ball FighterZ will receive a season 3 (along with some data mining evidence), but Arc System Works and Bandai Namco haven't made any official confirmations. If they do make an announcement, it will likely be at the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour Finals, which, while happening soon, has yet to receive an exact date.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
