The final character for Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 2 DLC, DBS Broly, arrives in three days on December 5. In celebration of his upcoming arrival, Bandai Namco employee, DKHLYNIN hosted an exhibition for the character and revealed to viewers what the new English dub voiceover for him sounds like. Past trailers have shown off DBS Broly before, but every one of them only featured the Japanese voiceovers.

Fans have been wondering what DBS Broly will sound like in English ever since his original actor, Vic Mignogna, was cut from FUNimation following a scandal. DKHLYNIN was kind enough to let fans hear the voice-over as he was showing off what the character could do.

DBS Broly's new voice actor, Johnny Yong Bosch (YB), sounds just like him. Of course, DBS Broly prefers screaming to talking, so there aren't any actual lines to gauge anything by, but considering screaming is also what Broly mainly did in the movie, it's safe to say that Johnny produced an accurate portrayal. More than that, however, the voice sounds close to Vic's, the original. If anything, Johnny's voice sounds like it would have worked just as well had he been the one voicing Broly in the movie from the start.

Just like he was in the movie, DBS Broly will be a grappler in DBFZ. He has a variety of different command grabs, and can even snatch opponents off the ground to continue attacking them. His playstyle is similar of that to Android 16's, a character that was considered the best grappler in the game before he received several nerfs that put him out of S-tier.

DKHLYNIN's exhibition also revealed that DBS Broly sadly won't have an install level 3 that turns him into his Legendary Super Saiyan transformation. Instead, when the super is over, Broly will revert to his base form. Like his partner in crime, SSGSS Gogeta, however, DBS Broly has a multitude of supers that he can use both in the air and on the ground. DBS Broly also looks like he'll operate differently from other characters as he's the only one in the game to have a 10-frame jab and a 6-frame 2l low that acts as an anti-air move. So while he may play a little bit like Android 16, it remains to be seen as to whether or not he'll be high-tier.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
