Over the weekend, Arc System Works and Bandai Namco held an open beta for the forthcoming fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ, but many folks were left out of the fun due to there having been server issues from the get-go, which prompted the companies to consider an extension for the beta. Now, the publisher Bandai Namco has officially confirmed the decision to give fans another shot at trying the title before its launch with a second beta period that will only last for 24 hours.

As seen in the tweet below from Bandai Namco UK's Twitter account, Dragon Ball FighterZ fans are thanked for their participation in the last beta, and are promised another trial period at some point in the future. This is due to the fact that the beta is no longer active at this point in time, so the publisher has stated that the next testing period will "take place on a different date." Unfortunately, no additional clues were given to determine when that would be.

While many will likely be disappointed to learn that Dragon Ball FighterZ's next open beta isn't directly following the trial from over the weekend, at least there will be another testing period for fans to play the game before it launches. After all, the next beta could possibly improve upon the last one by adding new stages or perhaps even incorporate new characters to the current roster of 11 playable fighters.

All things considered, with Dragon Ball FighterZ set to launch in less than two weeks from now, it will be interesting to see exactly when the next beta comes and if Arc System Works will add any content to make it different than the last one. Our guess is that the beta will arrive sometime next week right before the game's launch in order to prime players into picking up the title, but there likely won't be any additional features to check out in the trial once it goes live. Then again, we will just have to wait and see what Arc System Works and Bandai Namco have in store for us.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is set to launch on January 26, 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
