Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is one of the most highly anticipated confirmed projects to be coming out of veteran development studio BioWare, with huge amounts of discourse already taking place regarding the game. Despite the title still not having an official release date, fans are eager to learn as much as they can about the core details of the release, such as its plot, setting, and involved characters.

While many nameless characters have appeared unofficially in things like concept art for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, several named characters have also appeared in pre-release material, with it being likely that they will play major roles in the events of the upcoming RPG. Of course, this list will only grow as the game draws closer to its eventual launch, but it is nevertheless important to establish what characters are already known to appear in Dreadwolf at this point.

Solas

One of the most prominent confirmed characters in the pre-release material for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is Solas, a previously established franchise member who is likely to play a large role in the upcoming game. Solas first appeared in the franchise within 2014's Dragon Age: Inquisition as an Elven mage companion that plays a deeply important role in the events of the story.

Quite crucially, it was revealed at the end of Inquisition that Solas was actually Fen'Harel, the Elven god of betrayal and rebellion, also known as the Dread Wolf. It can be gathered from this that Solas will play a very large role in the game by the same name, likely acting as a main antagonist within the core of the title's story.

Varric

Varric Tethras is a well-known figure within the Dragon Age franchise, being a long-time companion of different mainline titles. Varric was first introduced to the series in 2011's Dragon Age 2 as a companion character and appeared in the same capacity within Dragon Age: Inquisition.

A Dwarven rogue from a disgraced royal lineage, Varric is known for his cunning and charismatic personality, becoming a favorite recurring character within the Dragon Age franchise. Varric has appeared in some recent pre-release cinematics for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf in which it seems that he will once again take the role of a companion alongside the game's protagonist in the fight against Solas.

Davrin

A brand-new character by the name of Davrin is set to be introduced in Dragon Age: Dreadwolf and will likely be a main character during the game given his early appearances in promotional material. Unlike the other established characters, little is currently known about Davrin, but a lot can still be inferred about his character.

Davrin will be voiced by Ike Imadi, who recently portrayed the imposing Atriox in Halo Infinite, and it appears that Davrin is also a member of the Grey Wardens. The Grey Wardens were the focal point of Dragon Age: Origins, in which the protagonist was a member of this organization of warriors. It seems that they may once again be thrust to the center of Dragon Age's narrative.

Bellara

Very little is currently known about the character of Bellara, although she is the last confirmed named character to appear in Dragon Age: Dreadwolf at this point. A female human, Bellara has a line of dialogue in some promotional material for Dreadwolf which indicate that she will likely be a party member companion within the game.

Bellara is set to be voiced by actress Jee Young Han, who has previously worked with BioWare in its ambitious project Anthem, which released in 2019. While more will be revealed about these characters, as well as currently unknown ones, in the coming months, it is already clear that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is set to offer an expansive roster of both old and new figures within its gameplay.
