With social distancing and quarantine protocols still in place worldwide, it's hard to think that a month of summer video game reveals is just around the corner. Reports indicate that a PS5 reveal event may finally happen in June, the Summer Game Fest promises to be a digital substitute for E3, and major publishers are hosting private shows and private reveals for upcoming games like EA Play. And, with a wide margin for error, one of those games could be Dragon Age 4.

The last official word on the game was The Game Awards 2018, where at the time, Dragon Age 4 did not even have a proper title. In other words, while it's likely still a couple of years from release, it's about time to check in. Knowing that the hype train for the game is still chugging along, BioWare's Executive Produce Mark Darrah added some fuel to the fire.

Late last night, Darrah shared two cryptic teases. Using the meme phrase, "Dear men, what is preventing you from looking like this?," he posted one image of Solas with his eyes glowing and a second of the red dread wolf + rook book. Those who keep up with the franchise may recognize this book, as it has often been tied to teases of Solas and Dragon Age 4. Darrah himself first posted the image back in 2016, so it resurfacing is a good sign.

Furthermore, Darrah would share quite a few more DA-related posts over the next 12 hours. One of which was an interesting comment on the book, where a user postulates that dread rook is a move captures the square of an enemy, pointing out that Rook means to swindle someone. They also point out the rook works with the king in a move called castling from Chess. Whether this is connected to Dragon Age 4 or not, or if Darrah is just trolling with this share, remains to be seen.

Ultimately, if there is another perhaps bigger Dragon Age 4 reveal soon, the best bet is June 11. EA Play is set to take place on that date at 4 PM PT/ 6 PM CT. So fans may want to tune in hopefully, but keep expectations in check; after all, Dragon Age 4's release date is still far off, no matter how fans want to cut it.

Dragon Age 4 is in development.
