For BioWare fans, there’s nothing more enticing right now than Dragon Age 4 and the new Mass Effect game, yet with so little is known about them, many can’t help but wonder and speculate about their future. A lot is riding on BioWare to get these games right and to make good on the restored graces following the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition release, so most fans want the company to take its time.

Interestingly enough, this means few trailers, the occasional release of concept art for Dragon Age 4, and so on remain the most fans have gotten so far. Given that Dragon Age 4 was first teased at The Game Awards at the end of 2018, though, some fans hope that more solid information is on the horizon. A new GeForce Now leak, however, suggests it could be even sooner than originally thought.

Earlier this year, GeForce Now files accidentally leaked the existence of a ton of games, such as Kingdom Hearts 4. The company afterward said those some of these games were included out of speculation, but since then, some of the games it mentioned like God of War’s PC port and the GTA Trilogy have been announced. So, among the potential red herrings, there is decent information in this database; according to it, Dragon Age 4's release date is June 14, 2022.

The latest GeForce Now leak revealed a ton of release dates for several titles, and it should be noted that, while educated, a lot of these could be guesses. It’s not really likely that such information is made widely available, but stranger things have happened. If nothing else, these dates could be important as crude ETAs, important dates of information, and so on. If this isn't Dragon Age 4's actual release date, perhaps it could suggest early 2023.

Aside from the fact that this could be speculation by GeForce Now, there is some good and bad about this date specifically. First, it’s a Tuesday which makes sense as most games release on Tuesdays or Fridays. Secondly, in terms of marketing, this wouldn’t be a bad thing if a new Dragon Age 4 trailer confirmed the release date at The Game Awards, and then gave fans 6 months of marketing for the game. It’s bound to sell like hotcakes as that.

On the other hand, though, this date is oddly close to the typical timeframe of EA Play. If GeForce Now is using a placeholder, that could very well be why. Secondly, fans know its 2018 announcement was made early and that would suggest roughly 4 years of dev time. Jeff Grubb also recently commented on Dragon Age 4, saying BioWare was internally focusing on 2023. So, marketing in 2022 would make sense, but not a release date.

In other words, fans should take this with a grain of salt, but perhaps this suggests—if nothing else—that fans can expect more Dragon Age 4 next year in some form.
