With Anthem out in the wild, the attention of developer BioWare has shifted to Dragon Age 4. Although the studio is dedicated to continuing support for Anthem, lead producer Mike Gamble and executive producer Mark Darrah have recently shifted to the next installment in the fan-favorite Dragon Age franchise. The lingering question, then, becomes, "will we see Dragon Age 4 at E3 2019?" It's worth mentioning that everything in this article is based on heavy SPECULATION, so until BioWare or Electronic Arts issue an official statement, take this with a grain of salt.

First off, Dragon Age 4 publisher EA will not technically be at E3 2019, instead opting to host its own EA Play event on June 7-9. There isn't a traditional press conference, but for all intents and purposes, this is effectively EA's E3. Here, the publisher has confirmed that it will be looking at Apex Legends, Battlefield V, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and perhaps the future of Anthem.

With EA already having a full slate of games to discuss, it doesn't appear to be the likeliest scenario that Dragon Age 4 will be squeezed in. If time wasn't a concern, there is also the question of how far into development Dragon Age 4 actually is. A teaser was shown at the Game Awards 2018, but at the time, Dragon Age 4 was reportedly so early in development that it did not even have a proper title yet.

Those even talking about a Dragon Age 4 release date suggest that 2021 is the earliest the game could launch, meaning that it is at least two years away. Only a few months have passed since the Game Awards, and this likely means that Dragon Age 4 is in no better condition to be showcased just yet. But on the off chance that something related does get shown, it would likely be as limited as the previously released teaser.

Ultimately, Dragon Age 4 appearing at E3 2019 is unlikely, but it's not outside the realm of possibility that there is an update on its development. Perhaps EA will grace players with yet another teaser, though this could prove detrimental in the long run if its development takes too long. An official name would also be a nice possibility, but we wouldn't hold our breath.

Dragon Age 4 is currently in development for unspecified platforms.
