One of the most-discussed Twitch bans of 2020 was Dr Disrespect back in June. It provoked many questions all around streaming circles, with there being no apparent reason for the ban given by Twitch to either viewers or Dr Disrespect himself. With the ban additionally being permanent, lots of speculation began to surround the streamer.

While Dr Disrespect has not returned to Twitch due to the ban still being in place, he has moved on to streaming on YouTube. There, he has continued to keep his audience with many still flocking to his streams. However, a new problem has come for him that may be related to the original Twitch ban.

Many know Dr Disrespect for his Call of Duty streams, with him being an affiliated Call of Duty streamer for a long time. His status as a Call of Duty partner has been removed by Activision, however, with him not receiving a Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War creator code like other big streamers of the game.

In a recent stream, Dr Disrespect talked about his belief that the Twitch ban earlier this year was the reason behind Activision no longer wanting to associate with the streamer. This has even extended to the popular chat application Discord, which also removed Dr Disrespect as a partner.

There are many streamers other than Dr Disrespect that are unhappy with Twitch over the way bans are handled by its staff. However, with how high profile of a platform it is, word about bans spreads quickly. It is unknown if representatives from Activision and Discord know more about the details behind the infamous Dr Disrespect Twitch ban, or if these actions are safety precautions. Either way, Dr Disrespect has shared his frustration over these events.

Because of not getting a creator code, Dr Disrespect said he is unable to join the other Call of Duty streamers as they play through the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War early. It is very clear that the controversial streamer feels personally attacked by this denial from Activision. At this time, however, there is no official statement on the matter made by anyone representing Activision.

It is unlikely that Activision will restore Dr Disrespect's Call of Duty partnership or give him a creator code any time soon, unless the exclusion was a mistake. However, it is likely that Activision views not being associated with Dr Disrespect as a better PR move than keeping the partnership active at this time.
