When discussing the best streamers in gaming, there's a good chance someone in the conversation is going to name drop Dr. Disrespect. It's been a year since his controversial Twitch ban, of which Dr Disrespect nor Twitch have ever explained, but he does seem to be making the most of it. Dr. Disrespect is now streaming on YouTube and keeping up his brand of high octane, over-the-top fun.

To accomplish all of that, though, Dr Disrespect needs a strong rig. Last year, Dr Disrespect received a custom PC from Digital Storm, with the Doc revealing the various specs of the computer but never the price.

Now, Dexerto has managed to deduce a rather good estimate on the cost of YouTube streamer Dr. Disrespect's PC by using website PC Part Picker. Barring any changes or upgrades since he last revealed his PC, which would only add to the estimated price, Dr Disrespect's PC includes the following:

  • CPU: AMD Threadripper 3990X 2.9 GHz 64-Core
  • MOBO: Asus ROG ZENITH II EXTREME ALPHA EATX sTRX4
  • GPU: 2x NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11GB
  • RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V 256 GB (8 x 32 GB) DDR4
  • SSD: 2x Samsung 970 Evo 2TB NVME
  • Case: Aventum X
  • Case Fan: 14x Corsair ML140 PRO RGB

From the very beginning, it's clear that this PC is going to be an expensive item. As noted by Dexerto, the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990 costs $3,500. It's also worth mentioning that there's two of some parts, namely the GPU and SSD, and that only adds to the total. Overall, with every part listed above considered, Doc's PC hits $10,000 rather easy.

Notably, there are a couple of caveats to the price and things that likely factor in that are unknown, such as Doc's custom water loop and power supply. Any other extras, bells, or whistles only drive that price further north, so it's perhaps best to think about the $10,000 as the base price of the custom gaming PC. Either way, it's a powerful machine for a powerful personality.

At the end of the day, it's worth remembering that video games and streaming are all Dr Disrespect's livelihood. This price may sound outrageous to many who would never spend so much on a gaming device, but it's more of an investment than an entertainment purchase. Doc is known for pumping out high quality streams and content, and he needs high quality gear to do just that—just as any business owner must invest into their business, so too does the Doc.
