After what felt like an eternity for many fans, the release of Halo Infinite is right around the corner. While players received a chance to try out the upcoming installment in the franchise as part of two multiplayer previews over the last couple of months, many wanted a chance to see more details about the game’s story. Fortunately for fans, 343 Industries recently revealed a campaign overview trailer, the first gameplay seen of the Master Chief since July of 2020. However, it seems that one high-profile streamer wasn’t satisfied with what he saw.

Dr Disrespect has a lot of experience in the first-person shooter genre. From Call of Duty: Warzone to Apex Legends, he has played many of the premier games in the industry. And with each of the titles he plays, fans of the Doc can rest assured he will share his opinion. Recently, the controversial streamer gave his thoughts on the campaign for Halo Infinite.

During an October 25th broadcast on YouTube, Dr Disrespect decided to watch the recently revealed campaign overview trailer for Halo Infinite. While much of his viewership was anxious to know the streamer’s impressions, many were left concerned by what they heard. According to the Doc, the new open-world design of Zeta Halo, the primary location of the story, was lackluster. “None of this is pulling me in,” he commented.

Even though Dr. Disrespect watched the entire video, he left dissatisfied with what he had just viewed. “I’m sorry, that just doesn’t do it for me,” he said. He explained to his audience his problems with the campaign. The Doc commented that due to the six years in development and the size of the budget, he expected 343 Industries to have made Halo Infinite bigger. After waiting for a new campaign since Halo 5: Guardians in 2015, the streamer wanted to see stunning visuals. Unfortunately, this new campaign seems to have failed to impress the Doc.

After watching this new campaign gameplay, Dr Disrespect was even more convinced about the importance of adding a battle royale mode. According to the Doc, Halo Infinite needs the game mode to stay relevant in the industry. “In order for this game to go longer than three weeks after launch... It needs a BR,” he said. He then noted how Zeta Halo would make the ideal setting for a battle royale map, due to the rugged terrain, along with the Forerunner structures.

This news from Dr Disrespect comes as the popular streamer currently looks for new games to play. Recently, the Doc has been frustrated with Warzone following issues with stream snipers and controller aim assist. It will be interesting to see if Halo Infinite could be the game to fill the void. However, based on his recent comments, it seems like the developers at 343 need to go big at launch to impress the Doc.

Halo Infinite releases on December 8 for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
