Guy "Dr Disrespect" Beahm, currently a game streamer on YouTube, has announced that his Black Steel Bourbon has sold out almost immediately after launching. Only a couple of hours after the bourbon was introduced the orders exceeded the amount bottled in the batch. Beahm's new venture into alcoholic drinks has spawned a new company, Black Steel Spirits, which has produced this limited-run bourbon.Beahm is the mastermind behind the video game personality and YouTube streamer Dr Disrespect, best known for his gameplay and comedic commentary, most notably on battle royale titles like PUBG: Battlegrounds. The aggressive and controversial figure was one of the most followed streamers on Twitch until a permanent ban, after which he moved his streaming to YouTube. Dr Disrespect currently has over 4 million subscribers on YouTube.Just yesterday Black Steel Spirits released the batch of Black Steel Bourbon with a promotional video featuring Beahm. In a rare move breaking the character of Dr Disrespect, Beahm took off his faux mullet while promoting his new bourbon. This allowed the two-time to sell out the product in record time. Just barely over two hours after releasing the promotional tweet, the company tweeted again to inform the public that it has sold out the batch.
According to the video and the company website, Black Steel Bourbon is crafted in bourbon's heartland of Kentucky by the first female Master Distiller after Prohibition, Marianne Eaves. The creation of the bourbon takes place in a world-renowned distillery in Kentucky, but further details are not shared. Black Steel Bourbon is said to be a 93-proof bourbon with notes of sweet grain, charred wood, green apple, vanilla bean, and citrus peel. According to Beahm, who calls himself a lover of the Kentucky bourbon spirit world, it is a new take on traditional Kentucky craft. According to the website, the creation of the new bourbon required some of Dr Disrespect's lighthearted insanity.
The promotional video starts by going through some of Dr Disrespect's accolades and craziest streaming moments and switches to Beahm pouring a glass of Black Steel Bourbon in a study wearing a suit. In a very Dr Disrespect fashion, Beahm continues to explain that he can't tell people how to win, he can only tell what winning tastes like. This isn't the first time Guy Beahm has promoted a drink, although it is the first without his trusty costume. Dr Disrespect is a long-time partner of Mountain Dew Game Fuel and has his own Citrus Cherry flavor.
