At E3 2019, Dr Disrespect found himself the center of controversy after he was filmed multiple times in a public bathroom during his first-ever IRL Stream. The incident saw Dr Disrespect's Twitch account banned for two weeks, but so far he has mostly just made jokes about it instead of addressing the issue seriously. Now, one week before he is set to make his highly anticipated return to Twitch, Dr Disrespect finally breaks character to apologize for the E3 2019 bathroom incident.

Dr Disrespect, posting on TwitLonger using his real name Guy Beahm, explained that, "When we were walking around filming at E3, we clearly weren't thinking about the laws/repercussions of filming in the bathroom because honestly, it wasn't in our mind frame at the time." He added, "We had no ill intentions and I feel that was pretty obvious if you watched the entire thing. We wanted to capture an adventure, unfortunately we took that adventure into the wrongs areas unaware of the legalities surrounding it. On behalf of the Dr Disrespect brand, I apologize for this."

Beahm went on to praise his support system for helping him through the incident. He also assured fans that he does not take his position as one of the world's top Twitch streamers for granted. "This incident was a step back, but like anything, we learn, become stronger, and move forward. If you follow the brand or myself, I hope you continue to stay with me on this vision."

Now that he has made an official statement on the E3 2019 bathroom incident as himself and not as his Dr Disrespect persona, Beahm is hoping to put this mess behind him. He has already made an effort to do this by hyping up Dr Disrespect's return to Twitch, which is scheduled to take place on Monday, July 8.

Dr Disrespect's previous Twitch hiatuses translated to massive numbers when he finally returned to the streaming platform. It's likely that this return will generate similar numbers, if not even more interest, and it will be interesting to see if the spectacle crashes Twitch's servers again.
