In the ever-expanding world of live-streaming, there are few names who have gained as much notoriety as legendary battle royale streamer Dr Disrespect. From rising through the Twitch ranks as a charismatic, outspoken streamer of popular games like Fortnite and PUBG to the massive controversy behind his permanent ban from the platform, Dr Disrespect has been one of the biggest faces of streaming for several years. Now, Dr Disrespect's legacy will reach an entirely new stage as the streamer was recently made a guest appearance in the NFL's annual Entry Draft.

Dr. Disrespect's storied career as a streamer has seen Herschel "Guy" Beahm IV make his mark on the internet and the entertainment world through several avenues outside his massively successful streams. Last year saw Dr Disrespect release his first book as a memoir taking an in-depth and fantastical look at the origins of the character. He has also received his own limited time run of a themed Mountain Dew Game Fuel, and started his own AAA video game company, Midnight Society. Now, Dr Disrespect has taken to the NFL's stage, announcing the San Francisco 49ers' third round draft pick.

The success of the Madden NFL franchise has seen the American football league often dip into the world of gaming culture and now, Dr Disrespect has seen his time in the spotlight. For the San Francisco 49ers' 93rd pick in Friday night's NFL Entry Draft, the San Francisco 49ers welcomed Dr Disrespect onto the stage to select Louisiana State University running back Tyrion Davis-Price with the third round selection. Dr Disrespect's appearance on the stage was met with cheers from the audience and amusing commentary from the broadcast crew who were unfamiliar with the streamer.

Dr Disrespect's appearance at the NFL Entry Draft would not be the first time some of the internet's biggest talents have collaborated with sporting events, although often these events are more video game-focused. A recent trailer for WWE 2K22 featured popular streamer TimTheTatman alongside The Undertaker, confirming the legendary wrestler as a pre-order bonus for the wrestling game that released in March. TimTheTatman was also previously mentioned in tweets by ESPN's Sportscenter Twitter account referencing his season-long jinx with NFL predictions.

While Dr Disrespect has been riding high with NFL and Mountain Dew collaborations in recent weeks, one of the streamer's biggest recent moves has been met with controversy since its reveal. Dr Disrespect's ambitions to start his Midnight Society game show has seen plenty of scrutiny from fans and followers of the personality with many criticizing its NFT-based Founder's Pass and the company's website erroneously uploading an image from Cyberpunk 2077 to its official site. While Midnight Society has been subject to criticism over its formative months, Dr Disrespect's NFL appearance should only serve to further solidify his illustrious legacy.
