Announced by Activision and the leader of the Wu Tang Clan himself, RZA will be a playable character in the upcoming DJ Hero 2. On top of being a musical producer, RZA will also be featured alongside fellow DJ Hero new-comers Deadmau5, David Guetta, DJ Qbert, and Tiesto. This came as expected news, since back in April before the official announcement of the title RZA posted a tweet that he was in the process of doing motion capture work with the people at Activision.

RZA has mixed and mixed two widely successful songs exclusively for the upcoming game, LL Cool J's "I Can't Live Without My Radio" mixed with Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five's "The Message," and Damian Marley's "Welcome To Jamrock" mixed with Walter Murphy's "A Fifth of Beethoven." If  for some insane reason you don't like the musical stylings of the RZA, don't worry, he is only responsible for a select few songs out of the game's massive setlist.

RZA stated:

"I'm very excited to be involved with DJ Hero 2. As both a DJ and gamer from an early age, the game combines two of my passions." ... "I loved working with the team and am excited for the fans to hear the two brand-new mixes I put together just for this game. Bong bong!"

RZA is an excellent addition to DJ Hero 2's roster. Not only is he a true icon in the hip-hop community he is also a gamer. So unlike others, he acknowledges how important it is to pay homage to the artwork. While he is most known for being the founder of the Wu-Tang Clan, RZA has also received critical acclaim for being the man behind the Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2 soundtracks and for producing the score to the anime series Afro Samurai. It'll be nice to see how the man also known as Bobby Digital can help me out in building the ultimate club in DJ Hero's all new empire mode.

So does the news of the RZA get any of you ranters anymore excited for the game?

DJ Hero 2 is slated to hit store shelves October 15 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii.
