The developers at Ubisoft Massive deploy a fix for the double UI bug on the PlayStation 4 version of its third-person shooter Tom Clancy’s The Division.
While Tom Clancy’s The Division recently gave fans a bevy of new features with Update 1.2, including more rewarding loot drops, High Value Targets, and an exciting element of surprise with the ability to hijack items in the Dark Zone, it also invited yet another plague of bugs to the action-MMO. Naturally, Ubisoft Massive is currently dedicating its time and effort to ironing out all of the kinks it can, and in the course of doing so, the studio’s developers have now finalized a bug fix for the double UI issue on PlayStation 4.
Although those who have encountered the issue on The Division‘s PS4 port now have a solution to the problem of seeing two versions of stats on the screen, it will come at the cost of a lengthy download, for the patch’s size is a whopping 4.5 GB. As seen in the tweet from the developer below, fans who apply the update won’t be able to jump right back into action once it’s employed, though, as they will need to restart their game after it has finished downloading.

Of course, as many fans of The Division are likely aware, the game’s double UI bug is just one of many that are being eliminated by developers. As a matter of fact, the third-person shooter’s servers were taken down for repairs multiple times last week in order to rectify its daily missions as well as a plethora of other issues.
Back in April, The Division‘s scheduled weekly maintenance moved to Thursdays, so with this in mind, the developers at Ubisoft Massive ought to be diligently tackling the myriad other fixes for the game tomorrow. After all, with Update 1.2 reportedly deleting characters, there are undoubtedly a lot of players who are still miffed at the studio.
Nevertheless, it’s important to note that while The Division‘s online experience definitely has its fair share of problems at the moment, the game as a whole isn’t entirely broken. For instance, fans can still take on the Clear Sky Incursion, explore the Dark Zone, and there’s plenty of fresh loot to be had.
Taking all of this into consideration, while Ubisoft Massive continues to work hard sweeping The Division‘s system clear of bugs, there are surely some fans who may need some help in taking on the action-MMO’s latest offerings.
