Along with a massive discount and recent teases, Ubisoft fully revealed its plans going forward with The Division 2. As expected, the game is getting a number of overhauls based on community feedback including making the UI easier to use, especially when working with gear. The game is also moving to a seasonal content structure, following in the footsteps of plenty of other games like Destiny 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and more.

However, the biggest piece of information came through the announcement of the Warlords of New York expansion arriving on March 3. The sizable expansion takes players back to New York, where they'll finally be able to hunt down Division 1 antagonist and rogue agent Aaron Keener. Better yet, this expansion doesn't retread areas from the previous game, instead adding four brand new zones that make up Lower Manhattan.

Getting to Keener and ending his reign once and for all won't be easy as he's rallied plenty of like-minded individuals to his cause. In order to take on Keener, Division 2 players will need to remove his four Warlords first, each one occupying one of the new open areas. Here's everything known about the four Warlords of New York.

Vivian Conley

the division 2 vivian conley

Primarily seen in the 10 minute Division 2 gameplay trailer for the new expansion, players can find her inside of the Two Bridges area of Lower Manhattan. Conley has allied herself with the Cleaners, a deadly group of former NY sanitation workers who enjoy working with chemicals and fire to burn away the virus.

Conley fits in very well with this group as she is a former counter-terrorism intelligence agent and a chemical engineer. Following the viral outbreak in New York, she left The Division and joined up with Keener, immediately getting recruited by the Cleaners to further their goals. Under her guidance, the Cleaners have managed to not only upgrade their equipment, but organize them into a far deadlier group than players may remember.

Upon taking her out, players will be able to use the Incendiary Launcher variant skill, which utilizes fire to all sorts of devastating effects.

Javier Kajika

the division 2 kajika

Before he become a rogue lieutenant for Aaron Keener, Javier Kajika served as a Black Ops hitman for the United States government. When it collapsed due to the Dollar Flu plague that spread during Black Friday, Kajika became a mercenary, working for anyone that could satisfy his need to hunt. Kajika is known to be a master of stealth and infiltration with his signature weapon being a bow.

In this expansion, players can begin their hunt in Battery Park which is currently resembling a swamp and is suffering from sinkholes due to the subway systems. This terrain gives Kajika plenty of opportunities to get the jump on Division players. Just like Conley, Kajika has allied with The Cleaners, lending his expertise to their operations in this area.

For besting the crafty and elusive Kajika, players will gain access to the shock trap skill. Players can throw this item like a grenade, which lays traps that trigger bursts of electricity when enemies get too close. This is a great skill for slowing down enemies and preventing them from flanking.

James Dragov

the division 2 dragov

Arguably the biggest surprise addition to Keener's anti-establishment squad is James Dragov, a former New York police officer who became a legend due to his relentless pursuit of justice. Wearing riot gear, a large shield, and sporting a minigun, Dragov specializes in heavy weapons and defensive tactics.

Dragov is holed up within the Financial District and has control over the Black Market. He's also leading the Rikers faction, a bit ironic considering that Dragov was a former police officer and is now helping a group made up of former Rikers Island inmates. Regardless of past affiliations, they're now better organized and working together under the slogan "Power by numbers."

Dragov's defeat opens up the return of the Sticky Bomb, a fan favorite skill from the first game making a comeback in the sequel. As expected, this skill will have multiple versions to pick from in addition to its classic ability to stick to people or objects.

Theo Parnell

the division 2 parnell

The last of the four Warlords is Theo Parnell, someone who would likely fit very well in Ubisoft's other high tech franchise, Watch Dogs. Parnell is a former drone engineer and expert hacker who has managed to essentially stay off the grid and out of sight. Since he's not as well versed in direct combat as his peers, players should expect plenty of tricks and deceptions while confronting him.

Just like Dragov, Parnell is linked to the Rikers, with some of them serving as his personal bodyguards. Players will begin their hunt for him in the Civic Center district. After Parnell is dealt with, players can start working with the Decoy skill. Players can toss this object out which creates a hologram of the player.

Once all four warlords are down, the chain of command is broken and Aaron Keener will be vulnerable to attack. It's at that moment that players can finally finish the fight and secure New York for the Peacerkeepers and allies like Paul Rhodes and Faye Lau. For those who want to get a jump on the new story, Episode 3 is available now for Year One Pass owners, taking players to Coney Island to storm a brand new stronghold location.

The Division 2 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Warlords of New York is set to launch on March 3rd, 2020.
