After a major round of announcements for The Division 2 yesterday, including the Warlords of New York expansion, Ubisoft has introduced the first of a major batch of content to the looter shooter. The new content includes weapons, missions, and a whole lot more.

The update itself is Episode 3, the newest of The Division 2's Year One episodic content. Currently, the two new missions added with the update, Coney Island Ball Park and Coney Island Amusement Park, are only available to Year One Pass holders, though other players will be able to access the content on February 19th.

In addition to the missions, update 1.16, otherwise known as Title Update 7, has introduced some new weapons, the most prominent of which is the new exotic assault rifle the Chameleon. The other weapons include the UIC 15 MOD2, the Honey Badger, and the G28. The new additions should add a healthy amount of variety as players prepare to hunt down The Division 2's Warlords next month.

The update also includes the all-new Firewall specialization, which features a flamethrower as its signature weapon. Previous content updates have also included new specializations for the game, though Firewall is certain to be a fan-favorite choice, as the flamethrower is an iconic weapon to many gamers.

Finally, many balance tweaks have been made along with some bug fixes, making the game more stable and enjoyable overall. This should help players quite a bit as they begin to explore The Division 2's New York, which has changed quite a bit in the time since players last set foot there.

The Division 2 is currently on sale for $3, so players that have been considering picking up the game will find few better times to do so. Warlords of New York appears to be a promising expansion to the fundamentals of The Division 2, so it's a good time to start exploring everything that it has to offer.

Until the expansion releases, players will have to settle with Episode 3, though that isn't necessarily a bad thing. It should be a solid introduction to Warlords of New York, though fans will have to decide for themselves whether or not they enjoy it.

The Division 2 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
