The Division 2 has had a large number of updates since it originally launched in February of 2019. And soon, Ubisoft fans will have a slight tweak to Division 2's 11th update, which now has a release date and more details available.

While there was a small update two days ago and some unscheduled maintenance on October 8th, the Division 2 hasn't had a massive update to TU11 since it dropped on September 22nd. But update 11.1 will feature several changes that players of Division 2 have been asking for.

Now players have a date and some more information on the Division 2's Update 11.1 to look forward to. The team over at Ubisoft announced that this update should release on October 20th, with a side note of "If it all goes well." TU11.1 will have several changes that are designed to hopefully "address the feedback that was brought up in the PTS Feedback."

In TU11.1, players will notice that a few things will have changed in the Summit. The Rally Point selection menu will be gone. Also, players will be able to choose which and how many Directives they wish to play with in Summit, as well as the difficulty level. The best loot will come from the Legendary difficultly level with all 9 Directives active, but players will be able to mix and match these as they wish. The better loot is being used as an incentive to play the harder modes and potential get top tier weapons with high level weapon perks for the Division 2. The 100 floors of the Summit will also have new difficulty scaling.

Also, a new menu will be added to the Summit: Targeted Loot Selection. Each player can target their own desired loot, and targeted loot can be changed at any time. Each layer of added difficulty to the Summit will raise the chance of that player finding whatever loot they are targeting. Players can choose to target loot by Weapon Archetype, Gear Slot, Gear Mod, Skill Mod, Brand Set, and/or Gear Set.

Update 11.1 will also add a weekly Summit project that players can work on to earn exotic cache, any missing blueprints they may need, specialization points that they may still need, or a Ridgeway's Pride exotic armor or Exotic weapon for Division 2.

Ubisoft will also be making some bug fixes and quality of life changes in TU11.1, including:

  • Repair rate will be buffed
  • Range is now 15m instead of 10m
  • Players will have access to more objectives
  • The laptop animation has been sped up
  • In-hand SHD crates have been buffed
  • The Quest will only require neutralizing 2 hunters or rogues
  • UI notifications have been added
  • Loot crates reset will be fixed
  • Improved loot from 100th-floor enemy
  • The Conflict Firewall bug will be fixed

There are a decent amount of changes planned, so hopefully, Ubisoft will have time to complete everything before their deadline. Division 2 players have had a lot of frustration including the weapon nerfs, bugs, and other mishaps, but a mode like Summit (or Survival in D1) could be enough to inject excitement into the game.

Division 2 is available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
