Released early last year, the persistently online third-person looter shooter The Division 2 did not experience the same massive sweep of popularity as its 2016 predecessor, despite receiving similar review scores from critics. But regular content and quality-of-life updates, as well as the Warlords of New York expansion released in March of this year, have attempted to respond to gaps in the player experience.

Now developer Massive Entertainment has revealed extensive details for The Division 2’s upcoming Title Update 11 via the game’s official subreddit. The update promises to bring a little something for everyone and will go live on September 22, after an expected server shutdown of approximately three hours.

One of the main aspects of TU11 will be the addition of The Summit, a new PVE game mode that sticks players in a gauntlet-style high-rise building that stands 100 stories tall. Each floor of the skyscraper features a different layout, objective, and enemy assortment. As agents ascend, the difficulty will increase, ranging from Normal to Legendary. Every 10 floors, players must face off against a boss, after which a checkpoint will be unlocked. The Summit, though it launches on September 22, will continue to benefit from additions and improvements after release.

Also coming in The Division 2 Title Update 11 is Season 3, called Concealed Agenda, which will introduce new leagues, events and rewards to the game. Bardon Schaeffer, one of the last remaining leaders of the Black Tusk, is on the Division’s most wanted list and will be agents’ target this season. Successfully hunting him down will earn players the Shrapnel Trap skill variant, a minefield that will prove useful in locking down chokepoints and dominating in close-quarters combat.

TU11 will of course bring its share of new gear to The Division 2, as well as the introduction of appearance mods, which allow players to transmog or change the look of their gear to resemble other pieces of owned equipment. For example, if a player thinks their agent looks most intimidating in the True Patriot gear set but likes the stats of another set better, they can change their preferred set to look like True Patriot. And once an appearance mod is unlocked on one character, it will be accessible on all other agents. This feature will be separate from apparel, and appearance mods will not work on The Division 2 weapons or Exotics.

Title Update 11 will also bring a number of other additions to The Division 2, such as new directives, revamped Global Event modifiers, bug fixes, PvP changes, and Discovery Mode for Operation Iron Horse.

The Division 2 was released in March 2019 and is available on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
