Like most open world games, the world of Washington, D.C. in The Division 2 is filled with secrets and easter eggs for fans to discover. Over a month since the game's release, and The Division 2 fans are still finding new easter eggs in the game, with the latest one being a nod to Insomniac's Spider-Man PS4 game.

In the Spider-Man PS4 exclusive game, Spider-Man leaves his backpacks with collectible items hidden around New York City. Oftentimes these backpacks are webbed to walls for safekeeping, and as it turns out, one of Spider-Man's webbed backpacks can be found in The Division 2's Washington, D.C.

This neat easter egg may spark theories of The Division 2 and Spider-Man existing in the same universe, but it's clearly just a fun nod to Insomniac's Spider-Man game by Massive. However, its existence may be an indication that there are more comic book easter eggs hidden in the world of The Division 2 for players to find, so fans of the game will likely be on the lookout for more references.

For the most part, it seems that The Division 2's easter eggs largely reference other Ubisoft games. Perhaps the most notable example is the Assassin's Creed poster that seems to suggest that the next Assassin's Creed game will be about vikingsThe Division 2 also has easter eggs for For Honor and even some of Ubisoft's smaller games, like Grow Home, for instance.

The world of The Division 2 is fairly large, and so it's possible that more easter eggs are out there, waiting to be discovered by fans. Meanwhile, The Division 2 is set to get even larger, as Massive Entertainment is planning to release the Operation Dark Hours raid in May. Originally slated for release on April 25, the Operation Dark Hours raid will give Division 2 players some new areas to explore, and it's possible this new locale will have its own easter eggs to find.

While The Division 2 fans wait patiently for some new content, they can continue exploring the base game in search of easter eggs and other fun references like the game's Spider-Man easter egg.

The Division 2 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
