The Division 2's current Season, a re-run of Season 4, is coming to a close. Season 8 will bring players more manhunts to complete, a selection of exotic gear to earn, and vanity items to collect, and this season will be especially exciting for newer players.

Massive Entertainment is still working on brand-new content for The Division 2, so the studio is unable to deliver anything new to the game. As a result, Massive will launch Season 8 as a re-run of Season 2, Keener's Legacy.

Massive took to Twitter to give a quick update on what players can expect to see next week, officially announcing that The Division 2's next Season will launch on February 8. Keener's Legacy features four manhunts, a couple of apparel events containing exclusive vanity items, multiple global events that reward armor and weapons, one exotic armor piece and one exotic weapon in the season pass. Massive did not give any more details besides the fact that the studio will provide more details coming next week. However, the chances are that Massive will outline which global and apparel events will be featured in The Division 2 next Season.

In Keener's Legacy, players face off against four rogue agents: Termite, Huntsman, Luna, and Titan before taking the final fight to Hornet. Players can directly earn the Mantis exotic sniper and Vile exotic mask from the season pass. The Division 2's exotic weapons are quite powerful, and the Mantis' exotic perk is no different, removing the decoy skill's cooldown upon headshot kills. The Vile mask's exotic perk revolves around applying status effects, lending itself well with the Eclipse Protocol gearset as these pieces paired together let players spread lethal status effects to entire waves of enemies.

Veterans of The Division 2 are likely to be disappointed in how the game is still not receiving any new content. Aside from Massive's occasional Title Updates, The Division 2's Summit game-mode is the newest content the studio added, which is now over a year old.

However, newer players of the game can enjoy the content that Keener's Legacy provides. While veterans of the game are still waiting for fresh content, Massive is working on new Division 2 content. This new content could be in the form of a new Season or a new expansion, but regardless of what the case is, Massive has something big planned for those who choose to stick around The Division 2.

The Division 2 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
