At its core, The Division 2 is a looter-shooter, with the goal being to keep upgrading the player character by finding the best equipment possible. Not all loot is created equal, and there are certain perks or "talents" that players can equip to make their agent even more effective in the battlefield. Some builds are better for PvE whereas others are better for The Division 2's PvP experiences, like Conflict and the Dark Zone.

Three PvP builds in The Division 2 are standing out as particularly effective in the game's current state. Putting together these builds will require players to be in the endgame at the very least, and so players will have plenty of time to loot the necessary weapons for whichever build they decide to go with.

As Massive Entertainment continues to tweak The Division 2, it's possible that the builds below will become less viable. However, at launch and for the foreseeable future, these builds should go a long way in helping Division 2 players dominate in PvP.

1. One Shot Sniper Build

YouTuber MarcoStyle has put together an absolutely devastating Division 2 PvP build that lets players kill their opponents in one hit. Dubbed the One Shot Sniper Build, this build does require Division 2 players to be competent with a sniper rifle, but if they are able to consistently land headshots, they will be a force to be reckoned with in the Dark Zone.

Weapons:

Marksman Rifle - Model 700

  • Talent: Reformation
  • Mods: CBQSS Scope (8x)

When going with this particular PvP build in The Division 2, secondary weapons and sidearms don't matter, so just equip anything else.

Skills:

  • Booster Hive
  • Deflector Drone
  • One in the Head

Specialization:

Sharpshooter

  • Breath Control
  • Deft Hands
  • One in the Head

Unlock the Specialization skills above as soon as possible to maximize the One Shot Sniper Builds' potential.

2. Monster SMG Build

The problem with the One Shot Sniper build is that it requires Division 2 players to consistently land headshots to be effective. However, this SMG build from YouTuber Example doesn't require pinpoint accuracy, and will still be deadly on the battlefield.

Weapons:

SMG - Vector SBR 9mm

  • Talent: Breadbasket and Extra
  • Mods: Extended 9mm Mag, Laser Pointer, Reflex Sight, Small Suppressor 9mm

Marskman Rifle - Model 800

  • Talent: Distance, Everlasting, First Blood
  • Mods: CQBSS Scope (8x) or VX1 Scope (12x), Flash Hider 7.62

Sidearm - D50 or Kendra's Liberty exotic

Skills:

  • Booster Hive
  • Deflector Drone
  • Healing Chem Launcher

Specialization:

Demolitionist

  • Crisis Response
  • Onslaught
  • Spray & Pray
  • X-Stat Armor Kit-Supplementary

3. LMG Build

YouTuber Eroktic has put together an LMG build that has seen him have quite a bit of success in Division 2 PvP. It's not optimized yet and so it's not quite as comprehensive as the other two PvP builds, but it's got a trick that still makes it one of the best builds in the game.

Weapons:

Light Machinegun - Military M60 E4

  • Talent: Have the Hera Pouch-Holster Combo equipped with the talent Fill'er up

For both primary weapon slots, have the Military M60 E4 light machinegun equipped.

Sidearm - Double Barrel Sawed Off Shotgun

  • Talent: Breadbasket and Jazz Hands (10% reload speed)

Now, this Division 2 PvP build is built entirely around the Fill'er Up talent. Fill'er Up means that when one weapon is reloaded, all of the equipped weapons are reloaded.

So, if players have two 100 round LMGs that are both running low on ammo, they can switch to the Double Barrel Sawed Off Shotgun, which only has two rounds. Quickly fire off the shotgun and reload it, which will automatically reload the LMGs, letting players bypass the typically long LMG reload times.

The Division 2 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
