With the Electronics Entertainment Expo now just days away, leaks are a common issue many developers and publishers have to deal with. As Square Enix continues to tease new announcements in celebration of Final Fantasy's 30th anniversary, it appears one of their secrets came out early. A recently posted retail listing page for Dissidia Final Fantasy NT appeared on Amazon much earlier than intended, though Square Enix quickly followed suit and officially announced the title a short time later.

According to the Amazon page and later confirmed by Square Enix, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is a collaboration between Team Ninja and Square Enix and features 20 playable characters including Noctis from the recently released Final Fantasy XV. The roster ultimately pulls in both heroes and villains from the entire 30-year history of the franchise, includes 10 battle arenas, and utilizes the bravery combat system for 3 vs 3 battles.

During a live broadcast earlier today, Square Enix went on to confirm that the game's narrative is headed up by Kazushige Nojima, and revolves around two gods known as Spiritus and Materia and includes extensive cutscenes. Fans may remember Nojima for his work on a number of popular Square Enix titles both new and old including Fantasy VII Remake, Final Fantasy XV, and Kingdom Hearts II to name a few. In addition to the story campaign and 3v3 arcade, Square Enix also teased the existence of a new game mode as well.

While most companies enjoy teasing fans at what could be announced prior E3, leaks seemingly can't be avoided around this time of year. For fans, it has already been a busy few weeks leading up to the massive annual event. God of War, one of Sony's biggest exclusive titles at the event, experienced its own retail leak last month as its potential release date was posted on a Portuguese gaming retailer. Bethesda and Ubisoft have not been immune to leaks either as a couple of their surprise announcements have been revealed early for The Evil Within 2 and a new, untitled Splinter Cell game as well.

Do you think this listing makes the announcement all but confirmed? What characters are you hoping to see including in the 20 person roster? Let us know in the comments.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is scheduled for release sometime in 2018 exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
