Disney Infinity Kylo Ren Figure Revealed

By | 1 year ago

Disney reveals two additional figures based on the upcoming film Star Wars: The Force Awakens for Disney Infinity 3.0, along with their release dates.

Disney has revealed exactly when Disney Infinity 3.0 enthusiasts can expect figures for the game based on characters from the upcoming film Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The release of the figures will coincide with the premiere of the film in North America on December 18th, and pre-orders are open now.

Disney has also announced two new Force Awakens figures for Disney Infinity 3.0, in the form of the mysterious Kylo Ren and the X-Wing pilot Poe Dameron, both of which will be available for individual purchase.

This brings the total Force Awakens figure count for Disney Infinity to four, counting the the film’s main heroes, Finn and Rey, who were revealed previously. Unlike the Kylo Ren and Poe Dameron figures, Finn and Rey will not be solo figures, but will instead come packaged with the official Force Awakens playset. The playset, by the way, adds new levels to Disney Infinity 3.0 that are based on the events of the feature film.

Furthermore, it has been confirmed that all previously released Star Wars figures for Disney Infinity 3.0, including those based on the original trilogy as well as the Star Wars Rebels TV show, will be compatible with the Force Awakens playset.

In the meantime, check out the Kylo Ren and Poe Dameron figures in all their glory:

With the announcement of these new Force Awakens figures for Disney Infinity 3.0, it seems as though the film will have a very healthy presence in the gaming industry. Besides the Disney Infinity figures and playset based on The Force Awakens, there is also the free Battle of Jakku DLC slated for Star Wars Battlefront as well, giving Star Wars fanatics plenty of gaming content based on the new film.

With Star Wars fever set to hit an all-time high in the next couple of months, Disney will want everything surrounding the franchise to be as high quality as possible. As a result, it makes sense that they are opting to produce content based on the movie for established games, as opposed to rushing a lackluster movie tie-in game to market.

Disney Infinity 3.0 is currently available for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U, as well as Android and iOS devices. The figures for the game based on Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be available to purchase beginning December 18th.
