While a storage room in any game is usually worth having, it is particularly useful for those looking to complete Disney Dreamlight Valley’s quests. This is because characters will constantly be asking for a variety of items, ranging from wood and iron to flowers and cooking ingredients. Storing this all in the player character’s backpack and the house’s single storage chest is not viable even with all the upgrades purchased, as it is best to have lots of each item in case two characters ask for the same thing. Fortunately, one Redditor has shown off a perfect storage room design.
What an Effective Disney Dreamlight Valley Storage Room Should Look Like
The room pictured above was created and shared by Reddit user _KUDOS, and one glance makes it easy to understand the positive reception the design has gotten. Not only does the room feature a crafting table and stove, allowing players to do all their building and cooking without going to another part of their Disney Dreamlight Valley house, but it features over a dozen chests. What makes these chests special, though, is how they are organized.
Similar to how players use item frames or signs for Minecraft chests so that they can label every box, this Redditor has found a way to make it clear which chest is which without them needing to be opened. For players who make a lot of chests in Disney Dreamlight Valley, this can help greatly, as they will not need to memorize where things are - saving them a bit of time when grabbing and stashing items.
In order to label each crate, Disney Dreamlight Valley players will want to place some items on tables that are lined up behind the storage room’s chests. To place things like Disney Dreamlight Valley’s crystals or gems, players will want to drop them on the floor and then drag them over to the table. Through the build menu, items can be placed wherever players want them. While it will take a bit of time to craft all the chests that are needed for the storage room to be effective, and some expensive gems need to be wasted as chest markers, the effort should prove to be very worthwhile.
Though future Disney Dreamlight Valley updates could always add proper chest markers, right now the design from _KUDOS seems to be the most effective option. Fortunately, as long as players grab some tables and make some chests, they should have no issue replicating the layout.
