There are over 100 recipes that players can cook in Disney Dreamlight Valley. With each update so far, more recipes have been added as the game progresses through its Early Access period. Every ingredient that players can find or grow has a purpose, and it all comes together in several recipes.
Each recipe restores a certain amount of Energy, and some will restore more than others, especially with recipes that are a higher star rating and use rarer ingredients. A good example of this is Poached Basil-Butter Sturgeon. Here is how Disney Dreamlight Valley players can make Poached Basil-Butter Sturgeon.
How to Make Poached Basil-Butter Sturgeon
Poached Basil-Butter Sturgeon is a four-star recipe that is classified as an entree recipe. In order to make Poached Basil-Butter Sturgeon, Disney Dreamlight Valley players will need four ingredients. The four ingredients are one White Sturgeon, one Basil, one Lemon, and one Butter. Basil is a herb that grows on its own in the Peaceful Meadow and can be gathered by players. Lemon grows on its own from trees in both the Forest of Valor and the Glade of Trust.
Butter can only be purchased from Remy at his restaurant in the village. In order to unlock the ability to purchase Butter from Remy, players will first need to have completed the Realm Quest to bring him back to the village. This quest involves making several meals along with making ratatouille.
The final ingredient used to make Poached Basil-Butter Sturgeon is White Sturgeon. In order to catch this fish, players will need to look for the orange red circles that appear in the waters of Frosted Heights. If no orange red circles are available, Disney Dreamlight Valley players can fish from the other circles and eventually an orange red circle will appear. Alternatively, players can get White Sturgeon from Moana's boat. If players have upgraded her boat, they have a greater chance of getting rare fish like White Sturgeon.
How Much Energy Does Poached Basil-Butter Sturgeon Restore?
If players choose to eat Poached Basil-Butter Sturgeon, it will restore 4,961 Energy. While some recipes will restore more Energy based on what ingredients are used, that is not the case for Poached Basil-Butter Sturgeon. Since all four ingredients listed above have to be used to make Poached Basil-Butter Sturgeon, players are not able to use other ingredients as substitutes.
From an Energy restoration standpoint, Poached Basil-Butter Sturgeon is an excellent option as it restores a lot of Energy. The only drawback is that it requires White Sturgeon, and that can be a pretty difficult fish to find since it only appears in one biome. If Disney Dreamlight Valley players bring along a companion with the fishing role, they can potentially get a second White Sturgeon when catching one from an orange red node.
