The rewards provided for completing Friendship Quests in Disney Dreamlight Valley range from simple things like experience to more tangible goods like in-game outfits. In some cases, Friendship Quests will unlock new features or allow players to bring other Disney characters into the village like Minnie and Eric.
Another example is Maui's Friendship Quests which unlock things like Coconut Trees. Maui's final Friendship Quest restores a mysterious gem known as the Heart of Dreamlight Valley. At this point in Early Access it is unclear what it does, but here is how players can complete the quest to restore the Heart of Dreamlight Valley.
Clean Off The Limestone
To begin with, Disney Dreamlight Valley players will want to do is use the three Scraping Stones on the Limestone, all of which is given to players by Maui. In order to do this, players will need to go to the nearest Crafting Station, and they do not need to use any of the Royal Tools.
Under the Functional Items tab, they will see Cleaned Up Limestone listed as a recipe for the quest. Once the Limestone has been cleaned, players will be able to proceed to the next step of the quest.
Talk To Maui
Upon seeing the Limestone, Maui immediately recognizes that it is half of a gem called the Heart of Dreamlight Valley. Prior to the Forgetting, the Heart of Dreamlight Valley was part of a statue located in the top floor of the castle, above where the portals are.
Maui asks Disney Dreamlight Valley players to go with him to the castle and see if they can find the other missing piece. Go inside the castle and navigate up toward the statue of Mickey Mouse. Along the edge of the fountain is a glowing object, which happens to be the missing half of the Heart of Dreamlight Valley.
Repairing The Heart
Mending the Heart of Dreamlight Valley will take some effort, and Maui tells Disney Dreamlight Valley players to go talk to Merlin and see what can be done. Luckily, Merlin already knows what to do to fix the magical gem. In order to fix it, players will need water from the Frosted Heights, water from the Forgotten Lands, and three Purified Night Shards.
Near bodies of water in those two biomes, players will see sparkling visual effect which can be interacted with. These spots are where players can gather water for the quest. The Purified Night Shards will take some more effort to craft, as they require five Night Shards and one Dream Shard each.
Place The Heart Of Dreamlight Valley
Once the Heart has been fixed, Disney Dreamlight Valley players will need to talk to Maui and then take the Heart of Dreamlight Valley back to the statue in the castle. All that needs to be done is approach the statue and the option to place the Heart will appear.
After that, the quest ends and Maui gives players a statue of himself as his way of saying thanks. It is unclear if the Heart of Dreamlight Valley actually does anything, but time will tell since the game is still in Early Access.
