Though Disney Dreamlight Valley is only in early access, players can already interact with an impressive number of characters. Figures from The Little Mermaid, Frozen, and Moana are present, as well as the always adorable WALL-E. Merlin, Mickey Mouse, and other icons are present, and it is unlikely that Mother Gothel will be the only Tangled character to appear. With The Lion King and Toy Story content set to come to the game next, and both Stitch and Belle confirmed, there is plenty to be excited for. However, the sky is the limit for potential Disney Dreamlight Valley additions.

While players may be pushing for some more obvious Disney Dreamlight Valley additions like Monsters Inc. and Wreck it Ralph, as both franchises are heavily represented through in-game items already, there are some more obscure picks that could fit the game even better. Some franchises can even provide more than one character, giving Gameloft a chance to add a lot of content through a single Realm door.

Hercules

Hercules has already found success in the video game industry thanks to the Kingdom Hearts series, so Gameloft already has somewhere to pull from when crafting 3D models for its game. Hercules himself would be more interesting than the current male cast, as Prince Eric and Kristoff are hardly the most exciting characters. Meg would be great to see, as her personality would be a stark contrast to upbeat figures like Anna and Minnie. As always, Hades would be a show stealer, especially with the potential for an underworld-like house. Given Disney Dreamlight Valley’s strong use of villains thus far, Hades in particular would be a logical addition.

Emperor’s New Groove

With Kronk’s Spinach Puffs referenced in Disney Dreamlight Valley already, as they are a recipe that players can cook, there is some hope for Emperor’s New Groove content. Both Kronk and Kuzco would make terrific additions to the lineup, as it is easy to imagine some quests for them. Players can go on a stealth mission with Kronk while also crafting him some Spinach Puffs, and for Kuzco, the quests could revolve around turning him from a llama into a human. Seeing Kuzco roam through Dreamlight Valley in llama form would be hilarious, so hopefully Emperor’s New Groove content is eventually added.

Mulan

Disney’s Mulan is yet another franchise that can provide multiple characters for Disney Dreamlight Valley. Both Mushu and Mulan herself could come to the game, with the former having a quest line that sees her striving to prove herself to the valley’s inhabitants. The items that could be unlocked by leveling up both characters would likely be excellent, with dragon-themed items coming from Mushu and some neat warrior gear being handed out by Mulan.

Dumbo

Though Dumbo is an IP that can only really provide its titular character, it is tough to top the flying elephant in terms of cuteness. If added to Disney Dreamlight Valley, players could be in store for some adorable animations that see Dumbo flying throughout the valley, and his interactions with characters like WALL-E could be unforgettable. Dumbo’s level 10 item could even let players hover off the ground and move slightly faster, making for a truly special cosmetic that pushes players to befriend him.

These are just some of the franchises that could be added to Disney Dreamlight Valley, as the amount of content owned by the company is staggering. Pixar properties like Up and The Incredibles may be represented in the Star Path, but actual characters from those films could be great to see in the game. Likewise, Star Wars and Marvel content could be a legitimate possibility further down the road. Clearly, the future is very bright for Disney Dreamlight Valley, as characters could be added for years to come.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available in early access for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
