Since its launch last September, Genshin Impact has exploded in popularity as one of the biggest breakout hits of the last year. The game's widespread success has been bolstered not only by its diverse and unique roster of characters but also through its massive presence in the streaming space, with many well-known content creators streaming and featuring sponsorships for the game. Many top streamers have picked the game with its success quickly spreading to one of YouTube and Twitch's most popular online groups, OfflineTV.

Genshin Impact's rapid growth has been bolstered by the game's instant adoption by many of Twitch and YouTube's biggest streamers. MiHoYo has heavily promoted Genshin Impact through its launch, partnering with several prominent content creators to stream the game, and pushing the game onto both Sony platforms and mobile devices at launch. Genshin Impact even featured another highly-regarded online personality in LilyPichu as the voice of Sayu. Now, another of OfflineTV's talents, Disguised Toast, has seen his own share of luck with the game's gacha system, pulling a highly sought-after character in his debut Genshin Impact stream.

Disguised Toast made his debut stream with Genshin Impact during a recent stream and, following his initial gacha pulls on the game's Beginner banner, quickly spent $100 on currency to roll for Genshin Impact's newest character Arataki Itto. Toast made frequent jokes about the game's premium system and using his purchases to become the "most powerful Genshin player." However, he did also fall victim to the gacha system, using 80 Intertwined Fates out of the 81 he had purchased before acquiring the Geo Claymore user.

Itto has become a fan-favorite character among the Genshin Impact community following his release last week. Itto is a powerful DPS character with a focus on Defense, with his Elemental Burst empowering his normal attacks with Geo and increasing his Attack based on his Defense. He has been a welcome addition to many players' Geo-based team compositions and has become equally popular for his brash personality.

Disguised Toast making his debut in Genshin Impact is just the most recent example of a streamer picking up the massive hit RPG. Genshin Impact's popularity among streamers has led many notable content creators on YouTube to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on the game's gacha system, leading to many fans criticizing the system for its predatory nature. While fans are divided about the game's monetization model, Genshin Impact has been an overwhelming success for MiHoYo in the year plus three months since the game's launch and content creators like Disguised Toast will help to ensure its popularity continues.

Genshin Impact is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is currently in development.
