The newest game in the ever-popular tactical roleplaying franchise Disgaea has received a new trailer on Thanksgiving morning. Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny's trailer focuses on the game's epic and silly story revolving around the most powerful God of Destruction in the Netherworlds, as well as a small zombie named Zed who opposes it. The new Disgaea 6 trailer introduces players to the story while explaining Zed's power of Super Reincarnation.
According to the trailer, the latest God of Destruction is wreaking havoc and the Darkest Assembly is grasping for a solution. If Zed is to be believed, the God of Destruction has already been defeated. The new trailer explains how Disgaea 6's story will revolve around Zed's adventure that led him to defeat this God of Destruction, in which the zombie willingly gives his own life to activate Super Reincarnation and gain power. He does this over and over again, which is how he grew strong enough to win.
Developer Nippon Ichi Software has released additional information about Disgaea 6 alongside the trailer that details exactly what Super Reincarnation is. Zed's "Unique Evility" allows him to Super Reincarnate for a boost of 1 percent extra damage each time. For a small zombie to defeat a God of Destruction, it's likely going to take a lot of Super Reincarnation; fitting for a tactical RPG series that has a healthy amount of grinding.
The new information from Nippon Ichi Software also introduced two more Disgaea 6 characters. Melodia is a princess from the Musical World searching for her happily ever after, and Piyori Nijino is from the Television World, the leader of the Rainbow Squadron Prism Rangers. Odds are Zed, Melodia, Piyori, and all of the other major characters will be having an outrageous adventure, with more details to come.
