Details for Disenchantment part 4 have finally been released and everyone is on the edge of their seats. The Netflix hit series created by Matt Groening (best known for creating The Simpsons), concluded part 3 of the show back in January 2021. Now, with new images and plot details having been revealed, fans are keen to delve deeper into the adventures surrounding Princess Bean, Luci, and Elfo as they fight to reunite.

Netflix's Disenchantment is set in a medieval fantasy kingdom called Dreamland and follows the lives of a fearless yet alcoholic princess named Bean, her troublesome but compassionate personal demon, Luci, and her naive companion elf, Elfo. This satirical fantasy animated series left many questions to be answered by the end of the previous season, as the trio spent more time away from Dreamland and ultimately wound up becoming separated. The twisting and mysterious plot in the third season of Disenchantment was well received by fans and critics alike, and it seems that Part 4 will bring an even more captivating story as mysteries unravel to reveal important answers.

After being forced to separate, Princess Bean, Luci, and Elfo will find themselves on their own personal journeys that will subsequently tie in with the future of the kingdom. Across the ten episodes of Disenchantment, the three will each be swept into tense adventures that pull them into the skies of Heaven and the pits of Hell, insane asylums, monasteries, underwater, the Dreamscape, and many more harrowing locations. Per the official logline for Part 4, as the trio race to reunite, puzzle pieces surrounding both Dreamland and the characters will unveil themselves, at last answering the burning questions of anxious fans.

Disenchantment features the voices of Abbi Jacobson, Eric Andre, and Nat Faxon as Princess Bean, Luci, and Elfo, respectively. Other voices include John DiMaggio and Billy West, who have both worked with Matt Groening before on his show, Futurama. Bearing Groening's classic animation style, many fans have praised the series for its humor and intense narrative that is not usually prioritized in animated series. Showrunner John Weinstein credited Harry Potter and the works of Ray Bradbury as being the inspiration for the more fantastical elements of the series.

The balance of fantasy, humor, and serious topics is what makes Disenchantment so adored. Weinstein commented that the best part of writing the series was gradually unfolding and deepening the mysteries of the show. However, the showrunner also commented that the third part of the series was the “middle” and the fourth and sixth parts would be the ending of the show.

Nevertheless, Disenchantment seems to provide engaging adventures that exceed the expectation for an animated series. With Princess Bean, Luci, and Elfo soon returning to the screens, fans can look forward to seeing the escapades of their favorite characters as the mystery of Dreamland begins to unfold.

Disenchantment part 4 will be released February 9th, 2022, on Netflix.
