Racing game Dirt 5 will support 120FPS on Xbox Series X, it has been confirmed. The Dirt 5 trailer was one of several trailers shown as part of the Xbox Series X gameplay reveal event, as games like Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Madden NFL 21 also featured.

Speaking to the Xbox team after the Xbox Series X gameplay reveal event, the Dirt 5 team confirmed that the game was running on the console in 60FPS at 4K in the trailer. The developers also said that there would be an option for 120FPS that Xbox Series X players could turn on if they want to.

Every game shown at the event is Xbox Series X Optimized. This means that Dirt 5 and games like Scarlet Nexus and The Ascent, which were also shown, will be available in 4K, will have fast in-game load times, and will use the console's Smart Delivery feature, giving Xbox One players a free upgrade so they can play it on Xbox Series X. Xbox Series X Optimized games also offer up to 120FPS and it seems that Dirt 5 will be one game that does that.
