It's been a good few days for gamers who enjoy the spooky side of life. First, The Halloween event for Apex Legends leaked early. Now, it appears that there will be a spooky new vampire car in the latest entry in the Dirt series, Dirt 5.

The trailer for Dirt 5 starts off looking like a typical game release trailer. There's pumping dance music, bright colors, and lots of fast-moving cars, and the trailer promises car and stage customization, new game modes, and social elements. But near the end, things take a turn towards the spooky.

After the name of the game appears on-screen, something changes. The music shifts from dance music to something more sinister, the color drains from the screen, and the world becomes black and purple, and the word "vampire" flashes across the screen. The trailer shows fans a car, lurking in the dark, and then lights turn on. This is no Animal Crossing Halloween show, this is the real deal.

Fans are speculating that Vampire will be a new game mode in Dirt 5One theory is that it will be something like Call of Duty's Infected mode, where one player starts evil and has to turn everyone else to their side. Other players think it will be something closer to Dead By Daylight, where one bad player simply tries to kill all of the other players. Either way, it promises to bring some much needed spooky energy to Dirt 5.

Dirt 5 releases on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 16th, and later this year for PS5 and Xbox Series X.
