Dirt 5 has had plenty to offer racing sim fans in the new console generation’s first few months, and now it has even more. After teasing Dirt 5’s next batch of content last week, Codemasters has released the Energy Content Pack today, along with a free update full of various fixes and improvements for the off-road racer.

As previously detailed, the new pack is available on all platforms for owners of Dirt 5’s Amplified Edition and those who bought the Year One upgrade. These players can now unlock the four new cars that come with it, these being the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra Pre-Runner, Alpine A110 Sports X, and Porsche Taycan Turbo S. In addition, the Energy Content Pack also provides players with 25 new Career events to take on and a selection of new sponsors, liveries, and customization options.

Today’s free 3.00 update, meanwhile, includes over 20 new Playgrounds items for all players to use in Create mode, a new Playgrounds location set in Italy, and a new level cap of 120. Numerous bug fixes and quality-of-life tweaks have also been added, with highlights including removing invisible walls and out-of-bound sections in some tracks and reducing the waiting time between races.

With EA’s recent acquisition of Codemasters, it’ll be interesting to see if that has any affect on the studio’s ability to churn out new content for Dirt 5. Then again, it sounds like Codemasters will remain largely independent under EA, so chances are players won’t have anything to worry about.

Dirt 5 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
