Dirt 5 is possible the best off-road racing game yet, being one of the highest rating PS5 games of 2020. At least that's what a lot of fans are saying. For one, it's gorgeous, and players get to travel the globe, racing in all sorts of exotic places. Combine that with the most iconic cars and biggest beasts in the history of off-roading, and players have Dirt 5.
This game perfectly combines the love of cars with the awesome feeling of racing, introducing some timeless classics alongside some of the more modern off-road kings, so there's something for everyone out there. The selection is so big in fact, that players have a hard time choosing from all the possibilities. This is why players everywhere have shared what the best and most thrilling cars are in the game.

And what makes it even better is its exceptional selection of real and fictional cars players can purchase and use throughout the game. And while the game isn't fully pronounced for the PS5 features, Dirt 5 certainly looks best on the platform, especially after balancing out the HDR settings to suit each player's needs.
12 Porsche 959 Prodrive Rally Raid
One of the more nostalgic cars, this timeless Porsche 959 (left on the image) is a very solid car when it comes to Dirt 5. It's super fun to drive, it will definitely win most races, and can handle off-roading well.
The Porsche 959 looks like a jewelry box, but at the same time, it's very powerful, and is a wise investment, especially for those car-savvies out there who can really appreciate what this car is all about. The 959 got a couple of noteworthy wins during the 1980s, and the vehicle is fondly remembered because of them.
11 Volkswagen Beetle Rallycross
Surprisingly for some, this is one of the best rallycross cars in Dirt 5, proving to be everything that's missing from the life of the player. Driving it is incredibly easy, handling is a dream, it's just a smooth car.
The Beetle looks amazing, and it flies on the track. It's not the most exciting in the game, and definitely not the most awesome-looking, but the Beetle is just a smooth ride and will really prove to be an asset in races. In real life, the vehicle has an impressive track record of victories, scoring plenty of victories during the 2010s.
10 Lotus Exige R-GT Rally
This rally GT car is the best if players strive for speed. This speedster is incredibly fun to drive, easy to handle, and is very strong in the corners of the track, so when handling it right, players don't need to learn the hand break turning.
People love to drive it, it's fast, it's fun, it looks like every little boys' dream car, and it proves to be just that during gameplay. This car is the definition of love at first sight.
9 Lancia Stratos
A representative of the classic rally category, this weird-looking classic car will be an absolute beast on the road. The Lancia Stratos is powerful, incredibly fast, and, with the help of the hand brake, will take any turn faster than the rest of them.

This cross raid car is not only one of the best cars in the entire game, but is relatively cheap, so players should buy it early on in the gameplay. It looks absolutely amazing, and it's the best SUV type car in the game.

6 WS Auto Racing Mudclaw
Part of the limited "Rock Bouncer" class, the Mudclaw is one of the most fun cars in Dirt 5. It's a fictional car in this universe, with monster-truck-like wheels, a Buggy body, and best of all, all-terrain functions.
It makes Dirt 5 so entertaining that players will not even care about winning the race as long as they can make a mess of the entire map and fall over as many times as possible. It's just a fun feel-good time, and its bright colors just make it even better (especially on PS5).

In the category of the classic rally, the Porsche 911 is the most well-known car model. Not only in the game but possibly in real life as well. Everyone knows it, everyone loves it, and most people understand the value that it holds in the world of cars.
In-game, it's still the one to beat. In looks, finesse, and strength. Of course, some newer models will surely meet the mark, but this timeless beauty will be feared by many, and loved by all. A Porsche going off-roading is a bizarre thought, but Dirt 5 pulls it off, and people who start driving it rarely want to stop. It's a feeling.
4 Fiat 131 Abarth Rally
A perfect classic rally car, the Fiat Abarth will make even the youngest of players feel nostalgic for the good ol' times. What's best about this car is its versatility, as it can stand its own on all types of terrain, while other cars in the class are "strictly" rally racers.
In real life, the Fiat 131 Abarth earned the attention of millions in the '70s (to early '80s) after winning 20 dirt races, taking its rightful place as one of the most iconic retro racers out there.
3 Ford RS200
The king of the 80S rally category, the Ford RS200 is an absolute beast, and a fan-favorite, especially for those who understand the timelessness this car represents. Every player knows this legendary car, and everyone who drives it adores it.

And it looks absolutely marvelous. Being a more modern car, it will beat most of the older models when considering the speed, but that doesn't mean that those old-timers won't hold their own throughout the gameplay.
1 Brenthel Industries Class 1 Buggy
The Brenthel Industries Class 1 Buggy is a beast off-road and looks it. This classic but aggressive car is the goal of most players when they start the gameplay. It's very stable, making it easy to handle, but it's wild and fun to play with.
Because its stability is outstanding, this is one of the most reliable cars in the game, and players will see, that it's the best investment in the long run. People usually buy this car after some buggies beat them in a few off-road races, so they want to see what the big deal is.
